Hello, Your Woolyness! Hi from the UK. Just wanted to say, I am a chap (guy, geezer, fellow, man). My mum taught me to knit when I first became disabled (not badly. Just enough to making walking problematic). She taught me knit and purl. EVERYTHING else (quite a bit, actually), I have learned from you! Just want to say thank you. I find knitting very theraputic and, well, I find your voice very theraputic. Your calm, clear soft voice has made it very easy for me to concentrate on the 'how to do it'. I have knitted scarf's and blankets and I am ready to progress to cardigans, jumpers and jackets. Of course, everything I do has mistakes, but I get round them by calling them 'extra love stitches. (Some of my projects have LOTS of love). Anyway, thank you once again.

@@loiscandler814 Thank you 🙂 Just want to say that I am knitting a small blanket for my new-born great niece... (If you have read my comment carefully...) I have just discovered LOADS of er... love. Got to unpick about 20 rows (k2, p2). Thing is, the dammage seems to grow with every movement of the needle. Think it is time to call on...SUPER MUM! 🙂

Thanks for keeping all your patterns free for everyone. I’ve been following your podcast and tutorials for quite a while and thoroughly enjoy everyone. Even though I’m a continental knitter for 50+ years I love all the patterns that you show. Happy knitting.

One of my favorite stitches is Trinity Stitch. Easy to do & creates nice little bobble alternating knit & purl stitches. 😺

Hi there ! Trying this stitch for the second time after a long hiatus. Question: it tends to be a bit tight because of the crossings. Would it be a good idea to cast on using two needles put together ?
@sowoolly
@sowoolly 4 күн бұрын
Hello! Yes, that’s a good idea, and also, you could use 1 or 2 sizes bigger than the recommended for your yarn 😉

Would this be a good stitch for a baby blanket?

It might be a little heavy depending on what yarn you use. It would be nice and snuggly for a little one.

I think so, but knit a swatch first. Maybe it’s better to do it using one needle size higher than your yarn calls for 😉
