If people actually read the description, they would see the words "tribute cars" in front of both of these cars. Petty, didn't drive the blue car, nor Sox or Martin drive the RW&B car. And nobody cares about how bad your Uncle's, Brother's, 3rd cousins car would smoke these 2 cars.

When I was 14 in 1969 , used to visit my cousin every summer for a week. His neighbors dad was owner of local dodge dealership. One day in the driveway, we saw green dodge daytona , which we seen before, a birthday gift to 16 yr old son. I later heard from my cousin it was taken away. Just remember it sounding loud for stock and him doing big burnouts , probably leading to dad taking it back.

Why are people calling these "tribute cars slow", one ran mid 14 seconds and one ran mid 13 seconds. Most performance cars today run about the same, i don't come across too many 12 second cars on a daily basis. I know there are out ,vettes, amg's, hellcats and vipers out there, but like I said most performance cars today are at best 13 second cars. One person in here mentioned his trail blazer SS, and his Mitsubishi evolution would beat them by ten cars, lol. maybe ten toy cars.... Both are 13.9 second cars.... For 45 years later they aren't that much faster....

And quarter mile times aren't the whole story, i have a 70 electra and a newer maxima(2009 bodystyle) couldnt get past me on the highway, and i was only going about 130. After i pulled away by about two cars, i let off the gas............ then he got a ticket down road. He even beeped at me after the cop pulled him over. He would have whooped me in the quarter mile, but i think my 45 year 4dr land barge did ok....

You completely missed the point. These are RARE and nobody beat, I repeat NOBODY could beat a HEMI from '66-'71 as far as a stock car from the factory. The winged cars RULED nascar, and they actually turned left. That's why they will always be worth a TON of money and your GM truck will be worth the nothing it's worth today and the EVO? Well, let's just say MitsuSHITTY pulled the plug on that turkey about 3 years too late. Hope you stocked up on parts for that old slow car. neither of the cars you mention is capable of reaching speeds of 200 miles per hour the cars on the video where Nascar's of the 60's and 70's technology changes threw the years of course. In 40 years later it's lucky that ether one of your vehicles would be still on the road the trailblazer inline six is prone to problems one of the most problematic motors in the gm line. Today's cars are throw away cars and barley serviceable to any normal person how do I know I'm a mechanic all I deal with is modern junk! That is what keeps us in business people have heart attacks when the check engine light comes on and they come in lol. With all these sensors and ecm's prone to fail makes them unreliable you won't be able to make it home. The classic cars if you loose spark it's just points there easy to work on less prone to failures more reliable and nobody beat the 1966 Volvo P1800 in a modern car yet 3.5 million miles and still going! I like cars that are reliable and you can depend on it no matter what that is why I won't buy a car past 1994."before obd2 systems"
