Hola amigo. Theory de Life is Strange: Rachel and Sera May also have supernatural abilities To start of with, in episode 3 of Life is Strange: before the storm there was a conversation between two firefighters at the hospital. It's particularly interesting because they're talking to each other about how the forest fire suddenly extinguished itself. This happens to perfectly coincide with Rachel being wounded and knocked out for surgery. Combine that with two other moments in the game and there's a strong sense that Rachel can subconsciously control either fire by itself or the elements in general. In the ending of episode 1 when Rachel drops the burning picture into the trashcan the fire rises pretty quickly or just that there were loads of flammable objects in the trashcan. Look closely at the scene in the first episode in which Rachel starts the forest fire and you can see something happening in the environment as she screams. You can especially see it the second time she screams, and notice during her second scream her hands look like max trying to control time but with much more grip ( I don't know if that makes sense, watch the ending again, and look at her hands during the second scream ). Mostly every KZbinr that played ep1 said that the fire was way too big or something like " for a big tree like that, it went up on flames way too fast". Whenever Rachel screams the fire on the tree spreads even faster/ burns pretty quickly and this is also confirmed by one of the writers of before the storm, Zak Garriss, during eurogamers playthrough with him. And it seems possible that she has control over the elements in general since you can really see the wind rushing toward the tree during her second scream. Moreover, Rachel looks quite confused during the ending of episode 1, this implies that she just discovered her supernatural ability ( or maybe she didn't know she had powers at all ). Futhurmore, during the two times Rachel screamed Chloe jumps in surprise and backs up as if the wind was pushing her, also you may be wonderering, if Rachel had some sort of ability why didn't Chloe tell Max in episode 1 of Lis, basically the answer is she didn't know, or maybe she was just uncertain and she never really asked Rachel about it. In Addition to this, Chloe was too distracted by the tree on fire to notice Rachel's power u can see this by looking at Chloe's face through the ending scene of ep 1, she keeps on looking at the tree and her eyes r so big like she is in shock and not looking at Rachel the whole time even when screaming ( looks at her once at the beginning only ) Look at Chloe's reaction to Rachel's screams! Watch the ending in free camera mode --------> kzbin.info/www/bejne/h5yVe52wm5ingqc You can also see the fire control thing at the end of the second episode when the candle flames intensify as Rachel silently fumes at the dinner table and the moment she drops the salad onto the table the fire on the candles extinguisheses by itself ,to see this more clearly watch the free camera of ep2 before the storm in x0.25 speed and keep pauseing the video to see more clearly, and it would make sense why the house didn't go up on fire since the table and floor was wood and flammable including the carpet. Maybe at the boiling point of her anger, the moment she got up and dropped the salad, the fire on the candles went out. In addition in episode 2 the new paper article in the Amber house said "LARGEST FIRE IN ARCADIA BAY HISTORY" ( something like that ) and during the dinner sequence Rose said "The way the fire spread so fast, I have never heard of anything like". Also when ur in Frank 's RV the radio says how the fire is acting in "unusual" way. Chris Palm, community manager in Square-enix, said "there will be no superpowers, but there will be supernatural elemnts in the game", however, on the other hand, he was implying this just to Chloe .They ,the developers, don't want to tell us but they want us to discover. Also there was a deleted scene in before the storm that confirmed Sera was supernatural. She apparently had something to do with the ravens and Chloe’s dreams. This could mean that Rachel could have gotten her supernatural abilities from Sera but in a different form. Moreover, if the scenes where Rachel screams and the fire spreading so fast and the dinner scene in which the fire on the candles were growing higher are only there just for dramatic purposes/ to underline her desperation, that doesn't explain how the fire just extinguished by itself the moment Rachel got stabbed and all the fire references throughout the whole game like on the television, newspapers, radio and even how Chloe reacts to Rachel screaming. In conclusion, the power or ability Rachel Amber has is probably Pyrokinesis, which is the purported psychic ability allowing a person to create and control fire with the mind. Maybe Rachel isn't aware of her powers/ability, ( which could explain why she didn't tell Chloe, and Chloe not telling Max ) and can't even control them, it maybe triggered when her emotions get the best of her. Sera has powers ( an article on Reddit ) "When Chloe first wakes up after being hit by Damon and seeing Sera free, I was certain that Sera had powers and used them to get rid of Frank and Damon and to free herself. It just made so much sense back then because the whole sequence felt so dream like and out of place. But then I started to doubt that when I never get an explanation from Sera and I didn't even see people on this subreddit talk about her having powers. Just like some of you I though the ending was rushed and unpolished. But then I realised that of course Chloe could not know that someone has supernatural powers at the end of BtS because it is a prequel and since she doesn't know about about it during LiS S1, BtS had to end with Chloe being oblivious to any supernatural events happening around her. If Sera has powers then it is possible that Rachel inherited them, explaining the fire at the end of episode 1 of before the storm. After thinking about it a little more after finishing the episode I realised that James might have wanted to keep Sera away from Rachel because he knew about Sera's abilities and was afraid of them. Maybe even Sera herself was afraid of what she could do, what lead to her drug addiction. Of course you are not just going to tell anyone that you have supernatural powers, that's why she never told Chloe about them to keep Chloe safe from the truth similarly to how she wants to keep Rachel safe from the truth about James. But if Sera did have powers then what would they even be? If Sera could control time she could have aided Frank similarly to how Max does it when David fights with Jefferson. There is no way a stabbed man could kill someone wielding a knife so we must believe that Frank had someone help him." ( We now know that Sera had some sort of power that was related to the ravens and Chloe's dreams ) -Here is a topic written by a steam user with the name of Mental Paradox Supernatural Aspect to Rachel Amber?
