This presentation was recorded at the 2024 Soybean Summit on February 1st in Champaign, IL.
It’s no secret, you can increase soybean yield with agronomic management. Which management strategies and when to use them is the key the unlocking that yield potential. Dr. Connor Sible will discuss the latest findings from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Crop Physiology Lab related to soybean planting dates, cover and double crop management, and optimizing fertilizer use efficiency to bring yield and ROI to soybean production.
Dr. Connor Sible is interested in high yield corn and soybean production systems with a range of different approaches. Prior to starting a postdoc, his previous research focused on categorizing biological products and in understanding where, how, and why they work to improve fertilizer use efficiency and increase crop yields. Dr. Sible's current research still touches these topics, but he has added a focus on crop residue management and genetic by management interactions.
