Thank you for this video! I have three massive soybean plants with hundreds of pods well past edamame stage and am trying to wrap my head around how to harvest them as dry beans. This was exactly what I was looking for

A big cash crop in my part of Ontario. I enjoy seeing the wild turkeys and deer feeding on the beans the combine missed.

A lot of soybean growers here as well. We have not seen many deer in our area this year.

We have found it well-worth growing. Two double rows 4 feet apart, a stake and strings to keep them upright, and we have lots of great eating!

agree we never seem to get them harvested at the ideal time though for edamame

I think the reason why soy is absent from gardens is that silly myth that's going around about the estrogen.
