The grips also make a seal against the frame to keep water/debris out. Similar to BL/F1 grips

I got a purple shocker amp the other day, only had 1 5 hour session I come to check the internals see how good the company really is (me being the judgemental mechanic I am) I found it had something odd about the bolt assembly. It no longer “clicked” like it used to before the 5 hour session. It bleeds just like it did, just no “click” verifying it was in the correct spot to pull out/in. It only returns to its original locked position if I stick my finger downy the front to apply pressure while twisting the bolt to the lock position only than I feel the “click” and it locking into place. I’ve also applied air while it was “locked” (no finger pressure) and it held up fine. Of course I didn’t attempt to fire but you can see the podiatrist is faulty, brand new, and could be a injury problem to the younger folks. Would be interesting to see if anyone has the same issue. Other than that is measured 289-295 on the crono no adjustments and never broke 1 ball.

@@anarchyamp by all means continue tomahawking a misinformed, regurgitated dig from 2014. If you break a gen 3 or 4 eye pipe, you're doing something wrong. Oring on the barrel backs, assemble the 2 piece barrel prior (not with the back on the marker), and don't crank on it. Problem solved. Same eye pipe now for at least a dozen open plays, and 10 tournament days with no cracks whatsoever.

Rory can you please do a shot comparison between AMP vs XLS vs 170r. I own the XLS and I bought it from u guys. I prefer the XLS bolt feel while shooting over the 170r (gamma core). I know lots of people saying AMP using similar design to gamma core for air efficiency (but I think gamma core sounds louder and feels more poppy compare to XLS). 🐢🐵 plz and thank you!

Can someone explain to me how the air transfers from the frame into the top of the gun? I understand how the solenoid works but in this particular paintball gun I don't get how the air transfers up into the gun if the battery is in the frame already

There’s an air passage up the frame, that then passes into the body which has a passage which goes into the regulator. Once the air is regulated it goes through that silver manifold you see in the video which goes into the solenoid.

Ohhhhh I would’ve been SOOO SCREWED if it wasn’t for this video. That retaining clip came out when I was messing with it. So lucky I didn’t lost that little ball.

When you get rid of wires and hoses I see why people like it but what you are sacrificing is the ability to make your own repairs. You now HAVE to have the factory specific parts to fix those eyes or solenoid wires. Older guns guess what? You just crimp/solder new connections!

Should be fine as long as you keep up with your bolt maintenance and maintain the regulator when needed. May have to adjust dwell and maybe bolt speed in colder weather.

This is what the rsx should have been honestly $900 is way too much though. More like half that, I'd pay $450 for it Lastly, the green was a nicer darker green in the pictures but the real life product is a lighter green I'm not loving as much
