I always understood that a compressor also does a lot with the transients of the sound so using a single sustained note does not show all of the dynamic behavior of the compressor. I think it did show the influence of the ratio value. But I assume the sustain parameter might be better understood using a dynamic sound. So maybe a test with some more dynamic sounds like plucked bass note would be useful.

I have been trying to set up a "master output" using equaliser and compressor on one of my EFX banks. I am finding the compressor to be challenging to work with. It behaves very differently with very minimal and changes and not so much with alot of change. Certain samples respond in ways I cant understand almost like a sidechain effect has been incorporated and id like to know more.. hopefully more light can be shed upon this subject soon.

The Lofi 12 XT has the same type of compressor settings. I would love to know this also.

There's probably a more simple way to figure it out... I'll have to see if anybody has any suggestions :D
