They're not wave motion cannons, they're spinal shock cannons. As far as I know from these clips only three battleships carried them, the Kirishima, the flagship before the Yamato and those other two ships. The ships are the same that appear massacred in 2199, only that in 2199 it was a diversionary operation and in 2198 it was to make a defense, so here the UNCF ships at least do something and it is not just a massacre. In order of oldest, the fifth video of this same channel shows those scenes in a better way. And excuse my English, I don't speak English, Google translate.

Murasame class

First the Kongou class Battleship Kirishima, Then 2 Unnamed Murasame class heavy Cruiser (wich totaly shocked Gamilas and they ended the battle right then and there). EDF SUDDENLY was able to compete, and with 20 Murasame's still around that could onehit their cruisers? Yea obviously after seeing them ALL TURN IN they broke off. Also your not wrong. The Shock Cannon is a small version Wave motion gun. Both function the same and its still said (OG. Yamato season 3 from Okita) that the Shock cannons operate on roughly 1% of the Wave motion guns power (wich then would still be enogh to level a mountain away if the WMG can destroy an entire planet with one shot so that number is not to be taken serious anymore XD)

@@Demour77 Its actualy the recap of yamato wich is still to appear as movie (wich features the past up to 2202's end(and with past i mean past, all the way since they waged WW3ish and build a 333m long museum of Yamato, over the mars colonisation/war to gamilas appearing first and then 7 years of war between EDF and Gamilon (in wich the EDF did in fact win battles)
