Tutorial on setting up the airlock using the new event controller. Using the same base as the script tutorial. Basic setup, larger hangar setup, and another highlight of the room pressure glitch.

For the air pressure bug I have been able to fix it by deleting a grid and pasting it back in. Which can be handy provided you have admin tool privileges.

I have not encountered this bug yet, so I do not know how to reproduce it. I may have to do some experiments.

The event controllers are definitely overdue but I must admit I find it amusing how people make such huge, complicated airlocks. a a little room with a pair of sensors and timer blocks do the job just fine for that. I'll have to jump back in and see if we can do it with less PCU or more compact now though.

I can make an airlock almost exactly as functional as the one in this video, without using the beta. What the event controller offers over and above is the ability to tell when a door has finished closing, before switching it off.

@@BrianRonald Yeah the controllers are like sensors that aren't location dependent, which is nice.

sweet, but it seems better off getting the event controller to start a timer block instead to do thesame actions. It often triggers to fast lockingthe door open a crack, so a 0.1second delay in turning doors off is needed in that situation.

What buttons in first room do??? I buid it, and it won't working, it must be buttons wired wrong.

Button panels are setup to close the doors. Closing the outer door starts the pressurize sequence and closing the inner door starts the depressurize sequence

Nice video! However I'm having issues with 2 hangar doors (outer) & 1 cabin door (inner) then the whole thing just doesn't work.

It is likely the Keen bug. I have another video explaining it but basically the calculations get messed up on the big doors/gates.

There are also problems with the normal small doors.

Not that I have found. It only happens on large gates/hangar doors though. So you can design your ship/base to have unpressurized hangars and only small door airlocks.

Maybe it’s a new bug but I have small doors and some bug like that. Very annoying.
