I don't think an orbital cannon is much use if it completely destroys the planet. This would be better on an actual ship/battlestation. Orbital cannons are meant to take out targets on the surface from orbit.

what you do is, you have a server where only one of these cannons can be made and then you have the player with the cannon destroy as much as they can and then you have the rest of the server make a desperate attempt to stop them before all the planets are leveled. This could be used to add a story to your server that would be really awesome to watch, if there is anything else that people would like to add to this please put it in reply

I liked the beam idea for the MDD much better than the large, slow missile it was changed into in later stories. The enemy would have hours if not days to spot the missile and intercept it.
