This mod was a surprise in more ways than one. Suddenly we find a new faction floating over our base in Space Engineers. Of course we went to "investigate" INCON. Surprise Surprise they are no joke.

Anyone else surprised when a new faction showed up in your games? -If you used the old reddit custom encounter mod like me. Very cool mod. Fun getting into dog fights with the new INCON escorts :D

I remember back when I tried getting in on Space Engineers I was planning on making an army of drones that would operate independently to swarm enemy vessels. However, I didn't know how to do it, and I quickly realized I was too busy at the time. Unfortunately, I still don't have the time these days, but it's nice to see how realistic that idea was! The next step would be to make it so you can apply the drone feature to your own ships, with a command system allowing you to instruct them on what coordinates to head to, as well as target and/or pursue other vessels!

Got an ad for a space game of some sort and for way too long I thought 'damn they really changed the whole game, this is amazing, why isn't shack saying anything!?' and then it hit me. Sometimes I question how I made it this far without forgetting to breathe or something..

Yeah I found that out the hard way! I wanted to check them out...... say...."for science"? 🤣 B@st@rds hunted me for 40km! all the way back to my starbase, wiped out my defense satellites (x4), then the starbase itself, then my capital ship the Orion, I had to use the scout ship to get back to the surface, I crashed and had to scout around a ROS outpost and walk 23km to get back to my HQ cause I ran out of hydrogen.

Love Lucas mods having fun makes game feel more alive

I am new to the game, could you write me al list of mods I should download to make the game more interesting regarding space battles and factions?

@Cesarov I start with Modular encounters which is a base for most of the npc mods, then assertive mod, and for more npcs air traffic control and ground occupation I believe they are called. Relative speed mod and a ai mod that adds human and robot npcs to ships and stations can't remember what that one is. I'll have to get on my PC and look up the actual names of all of them

For a challenge: an Europa start, don’t fly to asteroid, buy the missing parts you need, load up with Reaver, Cult, Assert (all 3), Incon, and several other of Lucas’s NPCs. Strange thing is that I ended up with 30+ NPC ships within 5 km, some reason they are not flying a path and despawning. Some crash to the ground and provide researches and then they throw more ships at you.

Lucas is at it again terrorizing the Spacelanes with new toys!🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣 only downside is, the Dangerous Incom Encounter is somehow broken. I get the signal and marker on my GPS list, but if I go to the location, there's nothing there at all. and I'm not the only one who has encountered this. Kanajashi has also encountered this issue in his Agaris at War playthrough.

Does anyone else on Xbox know what happens to this mod does it need scripts?

Independent Contractors does require scripting (indirectly, via the Modular Encounters Systems framework). As a result, a dedicated server would be required to use this with xbox.

Yay, more to fear in space :D had already a meeting with the INCON (Well, I had Star Treks weapons there were no much match for at that point) But if you encounter some of the more difficult faction, they'll give you a run for your live, even with high-end weapon-systems

First two things I meet, Super Gremlin which is bad, and an Escort Carrier which is so much worse. The Carrier was 4.85 km away and I could SEE IT with out magnification.

the gremlin is at one point rather tame of a bastured infact i had a ship yard FEED by their corpes.

Those inhibitor modules are just as cheaty as pirates being able to magically spawn in drones with nothing but an antenna, it's why i quit using any of the modular encounters mods, giving the enemy what is basically magical abilities in a futuristic space game just makes it pointless.
