This update adds a lot to the game. Orks ships with reactor reactorsmoke, finally we don't need proper hydrogen mod, suspensions add so much details for weapons, ships and technical stuff.... and the right theme skins for planets. Frozenskin for europa and moon, dust for mars and titan, clean armor for earth. That's so cool. Thank you for making this video

Because Hydrogen has no weight, I'd see this 4x ice to thrust balance as a perfect buff, as in a buff with no nerf.

They reduced the hydrogen capacity of large grid hydrogen engines from 500,000 L to 100,000 L. So its not quite a perfect buff if you are using those. I haven't tested small grid.

I did some Math and I think Hydrogen Engines becoming an Legit way of completely Powering your Base, bcs an Hydrogen Engine(wich produces 5MW) can run on an Single Big Tank for 4 Hole Hours while the Old Engines could used the Hole Tank in just 1 Hour

In case u didn't know. as u grind down the shelve it'll have different amounts of parts on the shelves they can be empty light loaded or fully built with all parts.

Okay, hold it. I am just now getting into Engineers and have probably learned only the very basics so far, but about those command seats (cockpits) is it possible to put them side by side OR have in different parts of ship/rover, Then Have 1 seat be tied to flight and others slaved ONLY to say guns or work arms, etc... so two or more people can do separate things? Ikm not convinced u can since I think u take ownership of vehicles, but if that is the case are there any plans to allow taking ownership of JUST command functions assigned to chairs? would be so cool.

6:03 To clarify, you don't go 8x as far on a tank; it's 8x more _efficient_. You go 4x as far on a single tank, and only need to mine half as much ice.

Thanks for showing some decent views of the planet. I'll get there eventually, after my epic moon base is finished. At least the 60 hydro tanks I'd already filled should last a while longer lol. I've been holding off on dlc only because I wanted to see what I could do in vanilla. Seriously, though, I gotta have those lights and skins. I'm surprised we haven't seen a rusty sandcrawler yet. Also, the chrome-ish skin plus new light sources could produce some crazy stuff. Hoping for a re-paint abililty in survival soon. Great vid as always, cheers.

I added spiders and traffic mod so I could take over there ships when possible. Makes the game a bit more fun plus free resources if you take the ships or spiders down

13:30 I've been building a ship for me and my friends for a bit. And a primary thing on this ship is a gravity cannon that can shoot fighters and torpedoes. Seeing that lightning effect. Oh boy am i going to line that gun with this lightning so it looks like the object is being super charged or something

Retro future skin? Guess that is as close to chrome as they can get? It is shiny, but not much. But yeah, the new lights were mentioned as a spotlight (headlight) and an internal (crosshatch). Going to look good on vehicles.

Its only 4x travel distance not 8x. If ice storage was doubled you would get 8x when using ice. But 2x gas capacity + 2x fuel efficiency OR 2x ice conversion + 2x fuel efficiency either way only gets 4x distance. tank capacity doesnt "stack" with ice conversion.

No they are decorative only. You could combine them with hidden welders if you want to add damage

new armor blocks ARE nice and much needed but will still have some other armor mods for a few odd pieces still.... just sayin... also hydrogen has needed a fix for a long time...now we need an energy fix.. uranium gets burned thru pretty quick at times too still... and yup still gona use a concrete mod.... sorry Keen Software... got to have my concrete....

Yeah sure, something for everyone... beware though you won't be able to place DLC parts and if you use them from someone else your game will slow down, so if you don't have that DLC then oh well, I have all the DLC and they are a great addition but you should get the decoration pack 1 and 2 first. I got the style pack one last and i actually didn't get the deluxe thing, cuz that ain't really a DLC at all

Hydrogen needed rebalancing, but I think they may have gone to far with it. You can now get rid of 3/4 of your tanks and go the same distance which puts an end to there ever being a hydrogen economy, not to mention why would anyone use ion thrusters now? I've always been a hydrogen guy, but doubling tank capacity and halving consumption? One or the other maybe, but both together by default feels too easy-mode.

Really kinda lame it's just "Oh here's an exhaust where you just choose what particles it shows and then you play pretend" Rather than them adding an engine that generates smoke that you then have to pipe out of your ship or have it so large reactors actually need some sort of cooling and exhaust system, or a furnace block to burn off excess materials, you know.... actual engineering.
