While it has been done before, no one shares the secret of how they fitted a swivel seat base in a Fiat Doblo 223 2000 - 2010. We wanted to increase the space in our self-converted micro camper and help the Fiat Doblo community out too!

WHAT I USED:
Fiat Ducato 1994-2006 Swivel seat base: 1305.3998SX
Welder + brother-in-law who can weld
2x 30mm strips of metal (same thickness as the base)
Drill
Basic hand tools
6mm Hex socket
T40 Torx socket
10.9 grade bolts with washers

Thanks for this. It gave me the courage to remove the front seat and just swivel it …. definitely and re screw it. I kept one rear seat 💺 and now I have a lounge 😊. 💜🙏😎

Ok, today I did the same as shown and was able to avoid appearing problems with raising the seat with 20mm high aluminium bars. What can I say, it works very well! Thanks alot to this sympatic creative dude! Greatings and lot thanks from Frankfurt!

Maybe consider a stronger metal, aluminium can bend quite easily!

Well done for the cool modification Omar. i wanted to do the same in my mk1 Multispace but didn't think it was possible because of the tight space especially with the centre console. My car even with the rear seats removed still isn't a camper more of an open multipurpose vehicle i use for biking and camping in and out of so i think of it more as a tent on wheels. As an experiment in versatility i bought a van seat from a breakers which unlike the car has the ability to fold flat then tip forward revealing a spacious seat base area. As the seat is non sliding i don't know if i can attach a swivel but I'll have a look as i have an FASP from a T4. What i can do when parked up though is whip out the seat base bolts with a cordless drill in 60 secs and spin the seat around to sit on wooden spacer blocks which does transform the space. i sold my midsized campervan and now love the simplicity of a multifunctional small vehicle.

You could buy a turntable and job done ;) You can attach a table to the table in front of you and using as extension to edit your video ;)

The lifting handle to slide the seat back and forth... ...I just took ours off and fitted it upside down! No clearance problems.

Ohh this is epic, well done! I didn't think it was possible with the seats being so low, our Dobby is set out differently so it doesn't make much sense for us now but I wish I'd seen this during the planning stages as I might have built our differently 😂 I'm currently planning on installing a split charg kit, can you tell me how you routed the cable from the engine bay? 🌱💪

Thanks! On doblos with air conditioning, there is a rubber bung in the passenger side of the firewall where the moisture drips out of. That's where we ran the cable through.👍🏼

Doesn't this create a complication when trying to insure the car? I mean a passenger seat is quite important for obvious safety reasons and you have modified it in your garage. They always ask , "have you made any modifications to your vehicle".

The swivel base is crash tested & EU approved. Yes modified but to a good standard which would easily pass an MOT.
