Just commented elsewhere that it felt like it could have been shortened to twenty or so minutes. Edit: i can stomach the message if the story is good but that really seemed to be the part woth the most thought put into it.

This was one of the worst creepypastas I’ve ever listened to. The voiceover and reading was fine, but the story itself was incredibly flawed. The attempts of foreshadowing were so incredibly blatant that any and all mystery was removed from the beginning. The author has seemingly never heard of “Show don’t tell,” when writing a story. The reader should not be told what the tone of the story is; it should be discernible. There are also parts of the story that make zero sense. The older sister being unable to go without water for a night is ridiculous. “I don’t think I can last 3 more hours.” Humans are capable of going days without. It makes the situation difficult to take seriously. Another gripe is the fact that the younger sister only recognized the voice of her elder sister after listening to both recordings. Considering their family is “very close-knit” that is seemingly contradictory behavior from what the author is leading us to believe to be the family dynamic. The ideas behind the story were not terrible but the execution was so atrocious I couldn’t help but leave a comment. I’m normally able to shirk off the grammatical error here or there but this story was inundated with nonsense.

Yes, that story was lame. But I interpreted the “I don’t think I can last 3 more hours.” part as withdrawal symptoms, not merely thirst.

This was not that great. The writing was clunky and the non-binary/ pronoun stuff being shoehorned in at the end was something I totally expected too... The person on the recordings was such a weak joke that ticked all of weird victim stuff.

I completely agree. It made the story frustrating to listen to. I don’t think I’ve ever listened to a creepypasta that is so low-quality in its writing. It was 51 minutes of my life I wish I could’ve done something else with.

That was awful. Concept could have been interesting but the writing was terrible. Took ages to get going and even then it was slow and didn't make any sense. Can't go 3 hours without drinking water you know will make you be "mind controlled"... What a waste of time.

Lousy execution. The story had so much promise but far too much detail was put into sexuality and gender. Who cares if a person is nonbinary as long as the story is good. This very much felt like there was the foundation for something great but it wasn't until 30 minutes in that anything kicked off.
