As a kid of the '90s, I played this game a lot with my dad and brother. I know there's already plenty of playthroughs of this version out there, but I wanted to do this anyway. These retro classics are still played in 2019.

I never knew there were more stages in this game. I always thought earth was the final boss.
@jakethepillowsnake53027 ай бұрын
Earth is the final boss with respect to the game's plot. Mercury and Alien World are bonus levels that are available in the level select menu after defeating the Earth boss. Edit: This only pertains to the PS1 version. For N64, I've been advised (in this comment section) that these levels are only available in Expert and Manical modes.

My Mother and I played this a lot back when I was growing up. I'm glad I found this video, ah nostalgia.

Me too man, was the only video game my mom liked and would willingly play with me, has the 64 version and the ps, but I broke the disc one day on accident right before we were gonna play 🥲

I own the 64 version and thought the Mercury and Alien Home World levels were PS1 only! Now I’m gonna have to try this mode!
@blacklantern85002 жыл бұрын
You can play mercury and alien world on the n64, but you have to be on expert or manical mode to do so.

I remember this being hard as a kid, but watching it as an adult, I still think this looks hard as hell… I still have it for N64. Just came here for the soundtrack but had to stay for the gameplay. Never made it past Pluto as a kid. I’ll have to try it again now as an adult.

For sure. The soundtrack alone is wild. Still gets stuck in my head all the time lol.

Just discovered this a few months ago. Super fun game; maybe the best version of Space Invaders.

Great video! I played this with my dad all the time when I was young. Also, it’s very hard to find high quality versions of the N64 Soundtrack, for some reason. The PS1 version is readily available but not the N64.

Nostalgia. Still own this game. Try playing in Maniacal, if you dare (it's fun, though)

Yeah, I've played Maniacal. It gets stuck right at the end of Mercury on my N64 version though.

I didn't know this game existed. But I was trying to look for a game that was on PC. I guess it wasn't a mac because us students were using naturally dragon speaking (which seems to only be on windows machines, quite odd for such great software to not be on mac). But I was looking for a game similar to space invaders. And I think I remember level 3 was very challenging, maybe.

Thanks! It's been so many years so I can't really remember. At first it was hard to beat even on normal two player mode, but over time we got better. The funny thing is I didn't even know about the Mercury and Alien Homeworld stages until much more recently.
