Crazy part is they filmed it summer 95 after he came back at the end of the season but wasn’t 100% and they lost in the playoffs. Then he filmed this movie while having open court scrimmages with a rolling cast of all the best in the NBA. Then he led the bulls to (at the time) the best regular season of all time and won another championship. THEN the movie came out after that. So it shouldn't be that surprising that he didn't like it. I'm pretty sure my parents weren't that big of fans of the movie either. The people who loved this move were born late 80s to late 90s at the most. I myself was born 1995 and as a kid could not get enough of this movie. Even had a little book based off the movie.

Outside of the obviously better soundtrack, what made this intro so much better is that MJ's plays were just much flashier than Lebron's and this intro did a much better job highlighting them. The switch hand layup, the shot against those Celtic players, the dunks, the shrug, that nasty steal and immediate score. Above all else, it just illustrated that his trademark ultra competitiveness was just at a much higher level.
@cheufdphil2487

The only thing to make this intro better in my opinion is a little note saying the year and the where MJ's dunks came from. 🙂

I was born in 2004, and so unfortunately I didn't get to experience the memorable moment of when this amazing movie came out back in the 90's, however I absolutely love it, and of course the intro is iconic, reminds me of my childhood ❤ I've always loved the song from the first time I heard it. And I swear, that although this was years before I was born, the first time I saw the intro, I felt so excited, it still gives me the same feeling now rewatching it, you still feel the hype of it all and the energy, I would describe it as revolutionary almost❤️‍🔥 I actually still have the DVD of this film, and I hope that my future children will find it just as exciting one day ❤️‍🔥

My kid, who is 30 now, and I watched Space Jam on a vhs tape about a hundred thousand times. But after the first 20 times we watched just the intro, that I like, then fast forward to the game that my kid liked. Bill Murray’s, whoa Mike I don’t play defense, after Jordan reminded him that they weren’t inbounding the ball, is one of the funniest lines if you play and coach team sports, of all time. I still have the vhs tape.
