I really dig your DIY synth stand! I really need to build something like this for myself, as during longer session my back really starts to hurt from leaning over things. I also thought that something like an 8-channel launch control thing wouldn't work for me, because I use multi-channel input and an arbitrary number of instruments... but I never really thought about just having it mapped to all the submixes, and then I can just route instruments to channel strips on that! Looks like I've got an order to place

love that! This is so dope! Sick Stuff and absolute incredible performance. As much as I love listen to music, I would like to know how you did that. Do you think you could create a little Tutorial about which Equipment is doing which job? Like a Setup-Tour?
@masterd.7052Ай бұрын
Thanks a lot! Yes, already thinking about a tutorial video, but for now I can only give you a short explanation: The MPC is for the drums and it is sequencing all the other synth. It's connected via a powered 7 port usb hub and a passive midi thru box. The launchcontrol controls the 8 sub mixes of the MPC, where I routed all the drums to. The jobs of the synth are: Minitaur + WestPest + Edge = bass, Crave = arps & leads, Peak = chords, arps & leads, Buzzzy = arps & stabs, S-1 = chords, arps & leads, JT-4000 = arps & stabs & fx, EastBeast = arps All sounds are send to the Onyx12 mixer. I adjust levels directly at the synth. In the mixer I have one aux send to the zoom multi fx MS-70CDR (delay+reverb), and I have a RNLA7239 as a master compressor. The Peak uses its own fx.

Hello, could you send a project for MPC? I'd like to see how you have the sequence put together. It's very inspiring. Thank you
@masterd.7052Ай бұрын
Thank you! Well, I can try to explain it: The whole live set is one big MPC project containing 10-16 songs. A usual song consists of 4 or 8 sequences. There is always 1. an intro/outro sequence, 2. a "basic" sequence, where I unmute/mute additional tracks, 3. a drop/break sequence without kick and bass and 4. a "main theme" sequence. I use the first 8 tracks on the MPC for drums and fx sounds, the other tracks are usually midi tracks controlling my synth. The drums are going into the 8 submixes in the MPC, which I control via the launchcontrol. Hope this helps 😀 Further I would recommend you check out some of the older MPC videos from Analog Kitchen (like this kzbin.info/www/bejne/hmnPp6N7iLyUpsU), as I learned all from him. You're also very welcome to join the Analog Kitchen community over his patreon, where we discuss this kind of things.

Regarding to your remark from the description. Approximately, how many times did it happened? Are you using one of the latest firmware?
@masterd.70522 ай бұрын
I'm using a 10.xx firmware - not the latest. This was the first time during a live set (recording). I probably did too many fader actions on the launch control. The MPC doesn't like too many midi coming over usb at the same time. This is always a problem, because many synth sending out a lot of midi data over usb. When I move 4 faders at the same time, the screen of the mpc is not responding/refreshing for 1-2 seconds, but usually the music is still playing and after the 2 seconds it goes back to normal.
