The problem with the new actors is that they're not as intense compared to the original ones. It's like they're not putting as much heart into it compared to the original actors y'know. Still, it's nice to see such a faithful remake.

Ricardo Pereira de Paula Well, toku actors originally did their own stunts, so they're in better physical shape, and they usually do martial arts too. The new actors are basically male models. For Gavan and Sharivan here, it's not too bad, but Spielvan...he doesn't have a lot of exaggerated movements, so it's harder to "fake" it.

The first Space Sheriff is very nostalgic. I won't forget that narrator's voice though. I always come running down from my room everytime I hear his voice on the tv.

Who you meant must be Ohira Toru (RIP) that narrated Shaider here...he was indeed the narrator for Gorenger until Dynaman and then return for Zyuranger. While the narrator for Gavan and Sharivan was Issei Masamune (known for his narrated in Kamen Rider Black, Kamen Rider Black RX, and Tokkei Winspector)

Shaider just pops out of my mind so i decided to checked the YT and google the actors....just to reminisce my childhood memories.....and i was surprised the original Shaider named Hiroshi Tsuburaya aka Alexis died July 2001 due to liver cancer and after 25 years i finally got to know the real name of Annie as Naomi Morinaga :)

slicer3889 I'd argue the camera work is the problem. They film the new ones with pauses that are a bit longer in between the shots of them posing. Basically the old camera work would snap to different scenes of the poses faster.

I think the footage might be sped up slightly. There are some behind the scenes footage for shaider and the suit actor were doing thei fights slower than they were shown in the final cut

In my opinion though, the Next Generation guys doesn't seem to put much effort in their transformation poses. Riki Miura doesn't seem to have that "oomph" when transforming as opposed when he was playing GekiViolet.

Sharivan admittedly needs to put more oomph into his morph. Gavan is doing fine all the time, & Shaider, well... the moves themselves are sloppy, can't do much with something so ridiculously easy to pull...

Anyone would agree original space sheriff actors had so much flare executing their signature poses. I'm a Space sheriff Shadier fan and happy to see the next generation revival but there is something lacking with the actor's pose execution to space sheriff mode.

Well, that's actually pretty easy to explain. Hiroshi Wataru, the actor who played Den Iga, the original Sharivan, either has retired from showbiz or just didn't feel like reprising his role. The other (rather sad) reason is that Hiroshi Tsuburaya, who played Dai Sawamura, the original Shaider, actually died of liver cancer all the way back in 2001. I am glad that Kenji Ohba (Gavan's original actor) came back to the stage for both this movie and Gavan vs. Gokaiger; he was the first of the Space Sheriffs, and is the most recognized out of all of them for that reason alone, much like Kamen Rider Ichigo or Akaranger from Goranger.

Ye Moko I saw the tribute to Hiroshi Tsuburaya in Shaider: Next Generation. I have to say, it was pretty touching, and added a nice sense of respect for both the original series and Hiroshi Tsuburaya's role as the original Shaider. What I really like that they did here is that they didn't get another older actor to stand-in to play an older Dai Sawamura; it just wouldn't feel the same, and it would come as disrespectful since he's the only actor who played a Space Sheriff who ended up dying. Since I've seen the entire Space Sheriff Trilogy from start to finish, it's really nice to see Ishinomori Productions give proper respect to the original actors when they try to reestablish a new beginning for future Space Sheriffs.
