So from what I gathered the flow control valve (cold ammonia side) is stuck open and they are worried about the ammonia freezing the water in the heat exchanger. If that happens, then they have to shut the system down and do a space walk to try to fix it.

How does the ammonia cool the iss when it is on the day side, wouldn't the ammonia be heated to 250 F? The system doesn't make sense
