They're actually sentient fungus. Mi-go from the Lovecraft universe. Howard (the guy who wrote Conan) and Lovecraft were penpals in real life. They would leave easter eggs to each others work in their writings. I remember hearing that the devs did this as a reference to that, or something similar. Regardless, love the series guys. One of my favorite ways to unwind. 👍

They were going to jump back in but only if we could tranfered our characters back from Siptah to Exiles, but Funcom removed the server/character tranfer option too at the time.
