Gotta worry about rats. They eat the insulations and pipes. Gotta have hookups so you never know how awesoem your neighbors are unless it's your own power and water hookups. So extra expense. I'd rather build something custom anyway. And insulation and water heaters can be shabby to say the least.

Not sure most Prius cars can handle it but with the generator I could not say. I weil use my TRUCK it is the truck that is very reliable and seen in the middle east desert as army trucks home to that region. My 82 Toyota 4x4 with dual solid axles and Rancho shocks. 230,0000 miles. Low for its age used daily by the gardner I bought it from. Solid 4" blocks under the factory springs for lift keeps the factory tuff springs and fits my large tires. Factory tuff gears, trans, brakes and 22r inline 4 cylinder engine of fame. I am going everywhere a day until to tired to drive. Unless I can add cruise control. Better gas miles per gallon with my 4cly engine. When the Dr. tells you that you are impotent YOU GOTS TO LOOK AND DRIVE IMPOTENT Career Honey Dippers lead the way !

I have seen a lot of RV salespeople, and other salespeople, who take you on a tour and just go non-stop about how amazing it is. It feels a bit too rehearsed. No matter how good or bad it is they will convince you that the is the best ever and you can't possibly live without it and this or that feature. I really liked the fact that she explained the RV without sounding like she was doing a high pressure sales pitch.

Many artists do their gig tours on RV's similar to this. The whole crew of technicians and their equipment for live stage shows travel on another vehicles. They rent some specific equipment on every city they stay to avoid more vehicles.

This motorhome looks like a movie star's trailer. Some of those big budget special effects films (e.g. Star Trek or Star Wars) actors in prosthetic makeup work 18-hour days. Going home isn't really an option. Once the star takes off her/his makeup, they retire to their trailer for a good night sleep. I can definitely see a motorhome like this parked at a production base camp or at a major motion picture studio.

Yep, I recently got hired at a truck stop. Anyway, a trucker came in and try to pay over $1,000 in diesel gas for his truck. Our cash registers maxed out at $990. So unless you have 3-4 independent franchises producing passive income, taking this thing anywhere is stupidly ridiculous. Not forgetting to mention 90% of camp sites have length limits for trailers, so you're really limited to public, public campsites out in the woods. I plan to get one of these in my lifetime, especially to hunt for paranormal stuff and whatnot. I like the idea of custom building this thing, because I would 100% forgo storage for extra tanks, solar, etc.

I've seen the 53 foot version of this on a Film Set in Vancouver, Canada in late 2018 and what I saw was UTTERLY luxurious. Some big name director was renting/leasing it for four months and he and his family lived in it both on-set and parked by a private lot on a lake in the eastern part of the Fraser Valley where he finished filming and editing his movie. It got rave reviews for its luxurious and spacious interior! The personal assistant who told me about it said it was the most luxurious portable hotel room she has EVER SEEN! It had EVERYTHING in it even a high-end gigabit Ethernet and Satellite TV connection in the middle of nowhere. It came with a high-end 4-person Can-Am ATV that was made road licenced and road legal for jaunting into town for supplies and going into the far back country for his weekly fishing trips! What a life that Hollywood lives! V

Spacecraft is the ultimate in Luxury Custom RV's. They were the first company to have multiple slide rooms. Back in the early 80's they created the design for a 14' wide living area. I have a brochure from when I toured their factory near Middletown, Ohio. The units I saw then were all custom featured state of the art rigs. Back then they offered up to 42' or possibly 46' long units with average base pricing near 40k. The evolution of "Campers" has been a Marvel since the days of the early Silver Bullet AirStreams.

Well, consider. I have a 1,000 sf two bedroom condo. I paid $140,000 for it right as the housing market collapsed. Today, if I'm lucky, it's worth about $125,000. SpaceCraft has a 2014 57' USED trailer, for $225,000. Then, if you want to go somewhere, you need to buy a tractor for it. A used tractor with 200,000 miles on it as about $99,000. That includes a sleeper cab, plus any conversion costs you'll need to make it into a RV hauler, like a place for a SmartCar or something small. Figure another $25,000 for the conversion and an used SmartCar. So, you're at $350,000. The tractor may get 8-9 mpg of diesel fuel, then there are your campground costs, insurance, and other sundries. It tends to get expensive. Let's say, just to get into it, and first year's cost, $400,000. People buy tiny houses because they don't have $400,000 to throw around, and then $50,000 a year afterwards. Most of us work a job. But, hey, if you are a multi-millionaire, or have a really nice retirement plan/401K/Investment portfolio, then go for it!

If I lived outside of Seattle, my condo would have cost twice what I paid for it. However, my comment still stands. It still will cost you $400,000 to get into a 57' SpaceCraft fifth wheel, tractor to haul it, etc.

I love this 5th wheel. I've been looking around fir about 2years trying to figure out how I could make ( a 5th wheel) my full time living space. I love the space...size...and that it could be customized. This one that show has up grades i wouldn't want or need. What is the starting price and turn around time for delivery? I'm looking for something immediately to 3 months at the longest. Thank you, C.M.Banks
