It still amazes me to watch SpaceX install this extremely sophisticated hardware using rental equipment, outdoors, on a crude concrete pad next to a dirt berm. For forty years I was convinced that this could only happen in massive assembling buildings with purpose built lifts, glossy white floors and in time frames of weeks or months with technicians checking every bolt electronically for micro-defects. The industrial path from what SpaceX is doing now to fully fledged mass production has never been clearer. Sometimes to move forward you need to take a step back.

@2:12 - The white truck just looks like a 2 axle flatbed with custom platform built for this task. Maybe a Freightliner? The generic name for the vehicle on the right is "Telehandler" or " Telescopic Handler". They are very common in construction and logistics industries. The vehicle with the yellow folding arm underneath SN8 is variously known as a "Hydraulic Lift" (or Pneumatic if it is actuated by air), a "Hydraulic Folding Arm", "Folding Arm Hydraulic Lifting Platform" or some other variation on the theme. Could have a platform for people or other attachment for lifting a load. For the platform version, these and the "Scissor Lifts" which raises later on are sub-classes of "Aerial Work Platforms". Scissor lifts are simple and arguably safer but only suitable when the vehicle can be placed directly under the work area and there is no intervening obstruction. The hydraulic arm variants provide a lot more flexibility for working outside the base footprint and for reaching over obstacles.

It's not often you see a change in plans right in the middle of an engine change. In this case somebody probably found that 42 was an engine with a varnish problem. You have to remember they are going through their entire fleet of engines right now to identify engines with the varnish problem and fix them. That takes time, it's not something you can do overnight. I have to say that the fabrication methods have improved radically. The difference in SN8's dome and SN11 is impressive. Much higher quality!

In the last version of the motor power supply, the vertical line has become much longer. That is, the hydrostatic column of liquid turned out to be much higher and, therefore, the pressure in the area of the bottom and at the entrance to the preburner much more, rather than the previously tested options. @@MrZeegolden SpaceX produces many versions of its hardware never intended for installation. These are collectively referred to as pathfinders. Not all pathfinder hardware gets a serial number, but we had SN7 and SN7.1 which were tank sections tested to failure on purpose. And though I don't have the SN's of the Raptors that were tested to failure, we know that they do this as well. It wasn't long ago Musk tweeted Raptor reached a record 330 bar without going all melty, but it most certainly sustained damage. These articles were never destined for installation. There are far less sophisticated pathfinders as well. Numerous ring sections, bulkheads and nose cones built that will never be installed.
