SpaceX launches Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg Space Force Base

SpaceX launched another Falcon 9 rocket from the Vandenberg Space Force Base on Monday, sending Starlink satellites into orbit.

I saw it in Central Phoenix, for over four minutes. I heard about the launch, and today we had no clouds in the sky, not even Cirrus, so I knew it would be easy to see since it would create the only cloud in our skies. It is amazing that we can see it in Phoenix, as it approaches orbit. Some people in the Valley have recorded very cool videos zoomed in on the prior launches, for me this was the first Vandenberg launch I've seen in 50 years, and that launch, a military mission, was kept secret and we kids on a choir tour only knew about it because one of my cutest Lutheran school classmates happened to be the daughter of Colonel Vesper who was in command at Travis Air Force Base after the Vietnam war ended. That launch I saw for only thirty seconds, which is how day launches usually go, and I was on a motor coach. Tonight I saw a rocket light up our sky for several minutes over Phoenix, prophesied by a US Civilian, that the Civilian companies can get us to Mars and beyond, because they believe in space exploration for everyone in our world, I know I won't go into Space, having a family I have no reason to, and I am approaching the last quarter of my allotted life, I am still content with the day the last Apollo Mission left the moon, knowing we will return again, probably in world partnership, as we reach for Mars and determine whether it can be made fit for life in outer space, knowing that sooner or later we will have the technology to terraform Mars, so our love for humankind can live on, in case we've messed up our planet with too much carbon gas in the atmosphere. I do not fear that ending of earth, we have the technology today to make artificial clouds that could cool even the hottest cities in the world, but the money for it has been diverted to war and the spoils of war.

It was pretty damn cool to watch. I didn't even realize there was a rocket launch so I just got lucky looking outside.
