SpaceX Rocket Launch @ Canaveral National Seashore | Islands of Adventure | FLORIDA | Day 2 | May 22

We booked a SHOCK TRIP to spend time with family in their rented villa in Celebration Florida, which was our first time visiting the area, plus we upgraded to Universal Orlando Annual Pass-holders and utilised them on the trip.
We literally booked on Sunday evening and travelled Tuesday morning in late May 2022.
We travelled with Tui, from Manchester to Melbourne Florida.

On Day 2 we went to the Beach and watched an amazing SpaceX Rocket Launch. Truly a must for everyone to experience.
After this we went across to Universal Resort and upgraded our February 14 day UK passes to annual passes and enjoyed Velocicoaster and the Hulk at Islands of Adventure.
We finished the evening with food at Bread Box at City Walk.

Thanks Rory. Yeah it was a big one, just hope it got out eventually. Margaritaville is a great shout, we’ve never been, but walked past every night in Feb to walk back to Cabana Bay. Another great vlog, how lovely to be back again. We’ve not been since 2004 but our favourite place on City Walk was the Jimmy Buffet aeroplane. We’ve booked to go in August next year for the first time with the kids, although they don’t know yet, and can’t wait! Looking forward to the rest of your vlogs.

Thanks Louise. It’s definitely worth upgrading, but my tip is do it as early as possible and if your driving, do one pass to the one up, so you get free parking too. Other reason for doing it early is you then get 10% off all food and drink 😉

hi. that's interesting with the tickets, who did you message before you went to sort that and what did you say, I had never thought to do that. but were not sure if we will go next year so potentially could waste the upgrade money. didn't think we could do it if we did go back x

Hi. I just emailed the regular customer services email. Explained that they didn’t make us aware whilst we were there that we could upgrade and no info was given. They said they don’t normally do it, but sent them some vlogs of people they did it for (lodge guys) and they said they would put it on record. We then just went to customer services in city walk and it was all sorted.

Oh wow. You have to go!! Went went to Canaveral National Seashore and had a great view.

That's why you were facing south! I thought you had flipped the camera so that everything was on the opposite side. Another beach you can head to, that's at the end of the Beachline Parkway, is Jetty Park. They charge some kind of combination of admission and parking, but it is really nice, and you're close to the SpaceX launches. There are also viewing places on the inlet, and on the jetty itself. But if you didn't want to pay for JP's parking, there are several beach parks in the Cape Canaveral-Port Canaveral-Cocoa Beach area. And most of the time, you would not have to swim with alligators.

Hi can you help with the UOAP upgrade, we went in May with a 3 park 14 day pass and booked a crazy last min deal for next week. I've messaged Uo and they said we can upgrade but I'm totally confused by the costs? It doesn't seem any cheaper than paying on the gate? Thanks we love your trips and it was you guys that have made us go for it and book next week for a bargain!

Argh, thanks Helen. Very exciting for you guys. I think our passes were $130 upgrades for seasonal passes, which we did for Lynds and Scarlett and mine was $230 to the next one up for free parking, plus tax. What prices have they stated, where are you staying and will you be driving? All these things determine what you need. Our passes allowed us to go to all three parks and had sone block out dates for the girls passes, but worked for us. Happy to help, if I can.

Seasonal passes can’t be used on the following months, Seasonal Pass: January 1 - 3, 2022 March 12 - March 19, 2022 April 9 - April 16, 2022 July 1 - July 31, 2022 December 17 - 31, 2022. Probably why yours are looking a little more expensive….. We knew we were returning in May and Aug/Sept, so worked for us.

Thanks for replying, yes unfortunately we are there 20-27th July so in the block out days! They have quoted $240 each to upgrade to the 3 Park. Trying to way up wether it's worth it or just get the 3 day seaworls/aquatica/busch pass for £140 each! We are stopping on international drive, got flights with tui and hotel for £1600, mad when haven was over £2000! Your vlog made me look 🤣🤣🤣

@@helenevans6240 great glad to hear. I’d say, if you plan on going to Universal for more than 1 day, it’s worthwhile. You will also get 10% discount on food, drink and merchandise. Plus you have it if you go again before next years expiry 😉. With regards the 3 day, May also be worth looking at Discovery Cove, a day there includes a 2 week Seaworld/Aquatica pass for free. Not been for a few years but Discovery Cove is amazing.
