It's crazy how fast it goes through the atmosphere, but as soon as its in space it seems to be going so slow. Just goes to show how huge space is, and how face you truly need to go to get places.

Not even 24 min since the stream started ~15 min before liftoff and continued ~1 min 30s after landing... It really only took 7 min 45s from liftoff to landing. As Aeon mentioned, of course the mission is longer, but definitely incredible that launch to landing is so quick.

17:32 is by far the coolest part of the livestream, you can actually see the 2nd stage racing away from the booster on the right side of the screen.
@Brandywackyman188 Жыл бұрын
I liked 19:03 when you could see a satellite or something of the sorts passing by below the 1st stage. Shows the absolute precision needed for these operations and the nearby threats that can appear and disappear in seconds
@robberbarron7602 Жыл бұрын
@@Brandywackyman188Yeah I doubt its a satellite because at 19:03 the booster is at 120 km and satellites at least have to be above 160 km above ground. Maybe its a high altitude plane or some ice floating off the boaster?

I’d prefer to hear the basics - Launch Site, Payload, Customer & Mass, Special Requests from the customer, Booster & how many times flown, how many times the fairing halves have been watched, Weather & Range (Go/ No-Go), Landing site/vessel & possibly information not available on the call-outs & graph. I find the rest to be distracting, partly because they’re giving us information we already know or can see on the graph…

Sept 2nd, SpaceX's 61st or 62nd launch of this year, whether you believe announcer Zachary Luppen or the Everyday Astronaut article. I am sure Zach has it right since this mission ties last years launch record as he points out at the end. This one is a military agency payload for the Space Development Agency. 13th flight for the booster, with ~67 km high separation, and a 122+ km apogee. SpaceX's 222th landing for an orbital class rocket this one on land at Vandenberg, CA. It is their 148th consecutive successful landing, their 192nd reflight of an orbital class rocket booster. Those last two stats are from Everyday Astronaut, both agree on the 222 figure and the 13th flight for B1063. This was the 5th & 8th flights for the fairings.
