I agree, VR has taken virtual pinball to a whole new level. I love it. I use my cab with VR and the combination of DOF and SSF with VR has to be experienced.

About to hit 25 years since VP started. It's incredible how far it has come. A few of us are still around from those days too, which is incredible for any online community. But the talent today and the tables being made are incredible.

It's amazing how the tech has advanced. Playing in VR on my virtual cabinet is amazing. It's cool even to just walk around the cabinet and inspect the playfield closely by leaning in.

Love your work! I really want to get this going on my VP cabinet I’ve bought a Quest 2 and 3 to make it happen. Try capturing the balls on the right flipper In multi ball and then play with the left until you lose that ball or vice versa and you might find you can get it to last longer.

With these physics in VPX you almost can feel the weight of the ball. A feeling that is missing in Zen’s FX3 and newer FX. And then we have VR… something that is completely missing in FX3/FX. When having played this version in VR, I cannot go back to FX3/FX anymore.

100%.... Zen have announced that they will release a VR version of PinballFX sometime near the end of the year/early next. However they are going to have to rework the physics again if they are to get anywhere near this sort of experience in VPXVR.

As you mentioned the bulbs in the bumpers - did you notice, that the bumpers were flashing, but the bulps were not? I'm not complaining at all, but this could be one part of the next level... 🙂

Well spotted! I had not noticed. I know some other tables have working bulbs, filaments and all...I think the latest release of Gorgar does....I'll need to take another look. So certainly can be done.

Im getting back into pinball after 6-7 months of being away. Im thinking about building a new cabinet or just going with VR. The level of realism is stunning, the only thing would be wearing the headset for a long periods of time compared to a normal cabinet. Ive followed your channel for a while now, appreciate the video on how to setup 3d with the glasses. Have a good day Spacie!

Well the ultimate would be to do both! Build the pincab and have the ability to add VR. Best of both worlds. Watch this space because I'm likely to be going through this process with my own pincab....thanks for watching and for sharing your thoughts 😊👍

Beautiful table. The prebaked side blade mirrors are always a bit of an issue in VR as the reflection angle looks waaaay off reality. Also the prebaked simulated refractions in the plastic ramps look odd in VR, as well as some texture issues on slingshot rubbers if you look at them from an unintended angle. Hopefully there is a VR update at some stage. There is a non official test table with realtime side blade reflections, which looks amazing if your system is up to the task (mirrors are a big hit on FPS), hopefully this gets added to the official release.

Yes, looks good. I have an old pinball wizard controller set up in a similar way, however I also have joystick controls on the top deck for multi-use. I've yet to add my DOF effects into it though....

@@SpaciesArcade daphishbowl's tribute version of Batman 66 on VPUniverse includes a VR room. I haven't personally tried it as I dont have pinupplayer installed for the required puppack. I should do that though. I'd link to it but then my posts always get automatically deleted whenever I post a link on your channel. So just search on VPU.
