How do you determine how many balusts you need to start with?

Didn't work for me. Maybe my Home Depot pressure treated lumber was to wonky, but I was almost 3/4 off.

Forgets the most important part. Turning the decimal into the faction.

We need to switch to the metric system already lol

Metric is hard and co fusing

@@jasonnester9514 Really? What do you do when you need to do something as simple as dividing 3 5/16 inches by 2? TRY doing that in your head. The answer is 1 21/32 inches. Does that sound like a reasonable number to work with? No. It’s comically silly to be using the imperial system still here in the U.S. If you were using metric system, 3 5/16 inches equals to 84.1mm. Can you divide that by 2 in your head? Obviously you can. The average carpenter can perform math like this mentally. The answer is 42.5 Metric is not hard and confusing. It’s orders of magnitude simpler.

@@HyperionBadger I’m doing a deck and I’ve spent all day trying to get my spindles even I just can’t so I have to pay someone to come in and do It for me
@HyperionBadger Жыл бұрын
@@jasonnester9514 I’ll help you with the spindles. Tell me the details of your deck rail that you want to put the spindles. What’s the length of the distance where you want to put the spindles? How wide is each spindle? And how many spindles are you using? (If you’re not sure, or that’s what you’re trying to figure out, tell me how spaced out you want it.) You can tell me in inches lol

I tried this ended up with a tiny gap at the end of my Run this does work

You have to use the metric system for this to work properly.
