thank you, a couple of the large jets are "stuck" (most likely have decomposed granite in them - we live in the Rockies), so now you have given me the courage to go "unstick them"

Thanks good info. Question my seats jets are smaller light grey w/a white 1.25" liner that push into the base. They no longer function, can these jets replace mine. I can't seam to remove the base but know I replaced the spinner and liner 10 years ago. I'm trying to refurbish the tub after non 5 yrs. of not using. Thanks

Would this removal apply to a in home jacuzzi tub jet? 3 inch standard whirlpool jet?
@GadgetClass9 жыл бұрын
works for most 3 and 5 inch jets

I accidentally broke part of the plastic rim and clear gasket while removing the existing broken 5 inch jet. The new part is in fine, but will water leak behind it now?

The seal is o n the back side. Are you saying you broke a piece of the interior flange off?

Hi there, have a jet in the same place as the one you removed under the filter box on my 2002 Sundance spa...but think maybe the older version does not come off the same way? Mine seems to have a white gasket back there...dont see the blue/gray housing that is left behind at 3:28 in the vid. Should I assume the older ones have a different removal process? Thanks!

Some don't have removable heads. If you unscrewed it and have a big white O-ring, it is not a removable jet. Often they are sealed from the factory to the tub and that O-ring is a backup to that seal. You can still replace it.

@@SpaDayz Dangit...thanks for the confirmation the big O ring is what I have. Assume that replacement means foam removal, empty tank and unscrew from back?
@SpaDayz4 жыл бұрын
@@daviddipilato9620 No necessarily. If you were able to get enough Torque on it to get it out, you can get the original, or a new one back in. Since they are generally sealed to the tub, you are probably good. Older tubs didn't have that sealant and just relied on the O-ring, which would require getting to the nut in the back.

@@SpaDayz Got it, yea did not attempt to remove it after seeing your initial reply. Really appreciate the help!

Hello, GREAT VIDEO! I have subscribed to your channel and appreciate the time you have put into these videos. I have an '03 Sundance Cameo. I have the 5 inch jets and when I turn the silver ring to the left the ring just comes off. Basically the silver ring and jet are 2 separate components. I am assuming that all the jets are just old and broken. Water does come out of them though. Do you have any ideas on removing the inner part of the jet in order to replace with what you have shown in your video. Thanks

How do you remove a jet that has broken off from the tabs of the insert?
@GadgetClass7 жыл бұрын
Annette Lord Use some large channel-lock pliers to grip the jet internal housing and wiggle and turn until it comes loose

How do I remove the jet housing?
@SpaDayz6 жыл бұрын
There is a large nut on the back of the housing.

Thanks! Does it require silicone or anything to prevent leaks?
@SpaDayz6 жыл бұрын
