The spaghetti ice cream is super common in Germany. It’s usually topped with strawberry sauce to imitate the tomato sauce and has white chocolate shreds who imitate the Parmesan. It’s especially popular with kids.

Oftentimes when I hear Fusion Cuisine the results are often Fusion Confusion. To do it well, it’s helpful to know food culture of both cuisines, and the rules (even if it’s only to break them). It’s like you first have to learn the basics of music, the rules, to be able to bend them to play Jazz. Baci a tutti

Really all modern foods after 1492 can be technically considered fusions. Ingredients like tomatoes and chili peppers are New World foods. Gochujang is a basically a sweet and savory malted and fermented red pepper paste. Doenjang is a fermented soybean paste you can add to make Ssamjang which is even more savory. My mom used to joke that it’s called Ssamjang because it has some of this and some of that 😂. Nadia, I love how your channels have blown up from your old channel. You disappeared for awhile there and I was super stoked when you came back 🤩.

I actually don’t know what you mean when you said to keep Cajun seasoning and pasta separate! Lol what do you mean? Is it just your personal preference? Is it because if the flavor or dish typically goes with rice then you get turned off if it’s replaced with pasta? Anyone wanna explain? I personally think it’s delicious!!

To tell the truth, I personally (being Italian myself) find completely exaggerated these types of videos, which my compatriots make, when for anything they cry "scandal" and say.... not this ! Not that ! Etcetera. As if some kind of "dictatorship" existed in the kitchen.

Lmao bro is less adventurous than the Queen. I have had veg restaurants pasta, and it's great. I like the bounce of noodles so I think it would be a great base for chicken makhani. Cajun pasta with shrimp is also good. NOLA was a melting pot of cuisines too and the marriage of Italian and Cajun in that dish is pretty nice. I would want to try all of these dishes honestly, including that guajillo and Oaxaca lasagna

I love this woman for being the pasta purist that she is. However, I think we all need to accept that fusion is a thing and we're not going back. I'm all for it. Just because a dish contains pasta, does not mean it has to be Italian or Italian-like; it just has to be good. Pasta is a fairly plain-tasting and versatile carb which lends itself well to various recipes, and while we all know where it comes from, there's no reason why we can't have pasta dishes that have no resemblance to Italian cooking whatsoever. I think a lot of these recipes are testament to that. By the way, I love creamy Cajun pasta. The best I ever had was in Manipal, India, funnily enough. That ought to illustrate my point from above.

The Chile guajillo is not very spicy at all. They have a wonderfully rich, earthly flavor. And the pasta sheet for the lasagna was seasoned with what looked like chili powder. I don't think you could do this with masa The Korean pasta was actually something that got cooked at a competition I was in. It wasn't a winner. Gochujang needs something sweet to balance the flavor and cream isn't enough. It is nothing like a vodka sauce. Or an arrabiata. Why are Italians so particular about what can and can't season and sauce pasta? I get certain weird texture things, but why not cajon seasoning, or the jerk chicken from the Rasta pasta (minus the yellow cheddar and jack cheese)? As always thanks for the content your Starchy Highness!

Every culture is particular about their own cuisine. Doesn't mean you can't do whatever you want, but some of these honestly just seem thrown together for novelty, not because they taste good. Fusion is often gimmicky, while using the various ingredients in their own traditional way almost always tastes better.

I love and adore you but you’re wrong about the Cajun Pasta. I don’t think that preparation was the way to go. However, look up a Crawfish Monica recipe and try it. It should have lots of fresh veggies in it too. Many cultures immigrated to New Orleans with the Italians being one of them. They learned to use what was available and this where you see the fusion of Italian ingredients including pasta with Cajun and Creole ingredients and methods.

At the end... If you like what you prepare, go on. I dont have to. But for me, cajun seasoning and pasta just are not a good pair together, its a lot better with brown rice or red lentils. Also, all these indian dishes are way better with lentils or brown rice instead of pasta. The rasta pasta looks quite disgusting imo lol. Too much heavy cream/milk and the color isnt very appetizing. ^^
