That D# on the lines over the Gmaj7 chord takes you to a whole different universe

It's crazy how cleanly he plays over the quintuplets at the start.

Spectacular piece - I too only heard of him recently and when playing "Spain" too. Your transcription of this insanely complex arrangement is - I can't think of a better word fast enough - spectacular too! Many thanks Cornelius!

(1:58) _Bar 54, 'and' of beat 2, RH:_ There is an E on top of this voicing. On a cursory listen away from my piano, I am hearing the notes F# B D# E. It's definitely a Badd4 sound.
@CorneliusTsen Жыл бұрын
yep, i hear it while transcribing and was debating to myself but decided to leave it since the E to D#'s voice leading is more pronounced, also it matches the melodic development of m51 and m52. I could be wrong edit: i mean m52 and m53

Remarkably original, yet he pays tribute to Chick with his use of chromatic diminished arpeggiation and chords borrowed from the Akoustic band version. Bravo

It seems like "Times Like These" piano transcription has disappeared off youtube. Maybe something you could look into since the only that seems to exist now is a full score with vibes too

@CorneliusTsen yeah but you can't see the piano in that it's too small lol. That's because of the uploaded trying to get like 50 bars on one screen :/
