That spal fan sounds ferocious! I would have laughed if the Camaro would've rolled backwards.😂😂 I just installed a generic 16" fan similar to the spal on my flathead powered 40 Ford. Tomorrow will be the test to see if it keeps the engine temperature steady.

The junk yard fan looks exactly like the one in my C4... damn shame it doesn't flow enough with my new engine. Was hoping the spal would be more of a difference. Wondering if it does better with static pressure....

I'm using a 90's Ford Taurus fan on my Procharged 3rd gen. It has a big intercooler in front of the radiator that blocks flow but that $30 Taurus fan from the junkyard keeps it cool. I'd love to see the same test with one.

how many amperes does the least need to work with a power supply in a construction for home?

that junk yard fan is bad ass! pretty comparable to the spal.

Spal gets it done. I was overheating and put a 12” fan as a puller on my 63 skylark. I stay at 188 in 93 degree days.

go on ebay and buy a lincoln mark 8 fan (a true mark 8 has a WHITE female receiver plug on the motor) they pull between 4000-4500 CFM they are a MONSTER!! it’s what i use to cool the 96 ram you see on my display pic and i tow with it.

lift he rear of the hood with “bonnet raiser spacers” that will do more than that fan you need minimum of 3000cfm for that setup buy a brushless “delta pag” 16 inch fan, this fan will get you too 3500cfm that spal won’t do it other options is two 1500cfm 12 inch fans

Electric fans cut off too then the under hood temps go nuts,,,since there are no vents and cooling the motor is also part of the heat sink problem,,,I'd use stock with ac fan and electric and have it rigged to cool when the car isn't running,,, waiting for a over heated car to cool without a fan takes a hour even in winter...on duel electric fans one should always run,,,,, the other if it is needed,,but the new gas boils on carb cars and most electric fans don't cool the block they barely cool the radiator.

That junkyard fan sounded 100x better, the sound of that Spal would get annoying.

No it's not worth the money compare to the junkyard fan. I can tell just buy listening that the spal fan is rotating at least 25% faster and probably using more amps to compensate for the slim blade design.

I sure did haha the Spal was great quality and it would have done the job but when the junkyard fan works just as well it just wasn't worth it!

I was gonna offer to buy that junk yard fan from ya. Is there anything else but "van" for reference on that fan at all? I like it better than the spal, it's quieter.
@rickrose22353 жыл бұрын
@@Louisxs650 I was going to buy that model SPAL fan but I kept reading that its so loud that I may buy a SPAL fan with lower CFM although I have a V6 and I read it should have a 2000CFM fan.

I got a fan from a seller on eBay who was a really good help to find what I needed. Seller MRW488. Tell him what you need and he'll take measurements on the stock he's got on OEM fans. I got mine from him and it's very powerful and super quiet.
