Great video..still used this video 1 year later and it still advises greatly. Thanks. I bought one for only 170 from walmart because of some damadged done to the box, luckily no damadge inside. However when filled with water i got some leakage.(has happened with every single hoop of mine). Ended up using sand and it is quite heavy but managable. Great hoop i highly recommend it.

I got a lifetime basketball hoop with a 44 inch impact backboard that's mounted on a pole like a year. and i also got a lifetime 46 shatter proof basketball hoop with a quick adjust last Wednesday. I had to put it together on Thursday because after i went to go get the hoop it was already dark outside so i said I'll put this together tomorrow morning so the next morning i woke up at 10 am and went outside to go put my new basketball hoop together. It took me 4 hours to put it together and after i finished putting together the basketball hoop i put some water on the base.

They are not to be bounced thet ha e to be pressed joined, either with a heavy weight at the top, or a car or truck slowly meshing them one section at a time, stop now if they are not straight it will damage the pole and you will have to hope Spalding replaces as it will be your fault for not following the directions,

I have the same hoop like yours but i never dunked on it I had it about 2 months. And it’s a lot better than my other hoops i have in my backyard. I have 2 54 inch hoops the first one i have i had it for 2 years but i haven’t played on it a lot like i played on it last year i still have it and the other one i have i had it for almost 7 months. I be playing on it a lot. Sometimes i be dunking on it but not all the time. I be shooting on it a lot more than dunking on it. I be playing on the 60 inch a lot in my front yard. I prefer that the 60 inch is a lot better than the 54 inch because the backboard is a lot bigger than the 54 inch and the poles are way bigger and stronger and the backboard doesn’t shake much when i hit the ball on the top of the backboard. It’s the best hoop i ever had. My hoop is up like on 10’6. I took the handle off of my hoop when i be raising the hoop up and down cause i don’t want no one to raise it down and try to dunk on it.

I just set mine up. It’s leaning forward and it’s kind of crooked. Do you know what the problem could be? It’s really giving me OCD. When I put the 3 poles together It was slightly slanted, but when everything’s together it looks extremely slanted forward, and I feel the slight misalignment in the pole shouldn’t have been that bad. It has to be something else. Maybe it’s the backboard I’m not too sure. Would love some feedback.
@WeightBully4 жыл бұрын
Look at the holes on the pole and holes on the base for vertical alignment, there should be two sets of holes and the furthest one back are the 90 degree holes, also when aligned put a brick under the main pole to help with dunks

I'm wearing myself out looking at portable basketball hoops. I had a slab of concrete put down for a court so I can get some exercise. The biggest concern for me is I don't want the backboard to shake like crazy when I shoot. I won't be dunking or anything like that so I'm not worried about that. I can't afford some of the higher end hoops that are 700-1,300 dollars. I also would prefer to have some life off the backboard. I understand everything can't be perfect on a budget I'm just looking for the best option up to $500.
@WeightBully Жыл бұрын
This will easily suit your needs. Backboard is not cheap, go check them out in the store, they put the most of the money in the Backboard and rim where it needs to be, just FYI if you want to inground it you can pour concrete with some cut rebar in the bottom of the pole with a box wood to make a concrete pole remove the box wood then plant that in the ground and concrete the bottom the boom a bad ass inground with a top notch Backboard. Only hitch on this hoop is its harder to move around because of the weight of the Backboard.

How does the backboard sound when the ball hits it? I know with my older Spalding 48" backboard that I need to replace, it has that annoying loud plastic-ey "boing" sound. I know acrylic isn't like thick glass, but thinking this is probably thicker and less noisy? So far not sure what the low prices were for, but still seeing it on the Walmart site for $326 even though there is an icon that states it is on clearance but no other price shown. Thanks.

Player 0001 300s wth it is at the store for 199 you have to buy it there, its hard to tell I left the film on but its not annoying like the 54 across the way its cool I do alot of bank shots and layups doint hear it like next door

Perfect. I got similar info from another video poster on the same item. Will most likely go there after work to check it out (local stores show stock). I only want the backboard/goal. So if it is at the lower price in the store then it's still cheaper than what I am seeing for just a backboard of that size by itself. Thanks for taking the time to reply.

I went to walmart a couple weeks ago and got a lifetime basketball hoop it was on sale for 84.00. I paid like $90 for this hoop. It's not put together yet but when this hoop gets put together I'll make a video of my new lifetime basketball hoop.

They unpacked bent or install was not seated correctly? If they are bent call Spalding they will replace the poles, careful how you join them if they are not mated correctly they can break,

Take the poles line two up fist following the directions to which pole goes where, get a wood block or 2x4 and use a heavy weight must be 40lbs or more to drive the poles together, you will need the top of a suv or truck or ladder for the last one, can use Dumbbells, heavy iron even used a idling truck bumper to drive the poles before,

Don’t buy a in ground just take apart the bottom of the hoop and put it in the ground, that is basically a inground hoop just with a portable bottom
@WeightBully4 жыл бұрын
Nope dawg they are not the same we filled one with concrete then put it in the ground held up fine, in grounds have a stronger base as the portable ones rely on braces for strenght,
