No manufactured rubbish in 1984. Spandau Ballet was the closest you got to a ‘boy band’ and their music was great. Unlike the 90s and beyond.

Just turned 18 in 1984...started my first job on the nightshift at my local ASDA, when this was in the charts.....used to sing and hum this to myself...when cycling the 3 miles there and back.....strangely.... it got me over my nerves...of starting work.... oh those memories.....autumn 1984......MAGICAL....!

I knew nothing about these guys -- went to a CD shop in Warwick RI US because no one else carried Spandau Ballet. Once I heard all the tracks on True I needed to have more. Now I get to see the gents for the first time. It's almost like discovering all over again.

Heard this on my local radio station the other day and an interview with Tony Hadley and thought I needed to look this up. Know most of their other stuff and although I was at school in their heyday did not remember this being in the charts. Definitely would agree it is one of their best no doubt.
