This is where young kids need some better influence, yes weed is a wonderful drug, I know 13-14 year old kids strung out on filthy prescription anti depressants given to them from doctors, fucks them up just as bad as weed but because there’s so much influence that weed can’t do any wrong these young cunts who can’t even think for themselves yet don’t understand the negative effects.

Wombat is the one person who makes me feel ok about my mental health issues. It’s so easy to feel so alone when no one else around you goes through it. The stuff you talk about I completely relate and experience myself. Alot of respect to Wombat on his honesty on weed. Personally for me, it relaxes me, I can control it to one or two cones, no bongs, maybe a joint every now and then but even a full joint is too much I would get panic attacks, paranoia, fainty On the other hand you give me a bottle of scotch and I'll finish it in under an hour, get into a punch up, get arrested, fined, banned from places, the amount of broken phones and torn expensive clothes, damaged furniture, car crashes, losing friends...all of which has happened before by the way. Alcohol has cost me 10s upon 10s of thousands of dollars and I'm only 35. On the other side of that, I know people that can have one or 2 glasses of wine and call it a night, so that's no problem. It's about understanding what works and doesn't work for you as a person and that only comes with age unfortunately

The problem is not weed being too psychoactive. The problem is starting to smoke it at such a young age before your brain has had a chance to develop. Im 42 and have only started smoking in the last 7 or so years. Firstly, it helps with my multiple sclerosis symptoms, secondly i find it highly motivational and it helps me focus. Weed is not bad. @Beefwelliington2 жыл бұрын
I'm so happy he is being honest about it all and he able to manage it and get better, hope he continuies to move forward and continue ot be honest as other kids might be coming through similar things and now they will feel like someone understands them, weed and other drugs can be great for people but we need to educate people on it and not forbid and not act liek they are the cure for everything they effect everyone differenly and can help people but there is a good chance that he had pre existing conditions and weed increased that to happen plus also abusing it at a young age has damaging effects. "Several studies have linked marijuana use to increased risk for psychiatric disorders, including psychosis (schizophrenia), depression, anxiety, and substance use disorders, but whether and to what extent it actually causes these conditions is not always easy to determine.32 Recent research suggests that smoking high-potency marijuana every day could increase the chances of developing psychosis by nearly five times compared to people who have never used marijuana.113 The amount of drug used, the age at first use, and genetic vulnerability have all been shown to influence this relationship. The strongest evidence to date concerns links between marijuana use and psychiatric disorders in those with a preexisting genetic or other vulnerability"
@BulkernatorKerb2 жыл бұрын
There's some sort of relation between marijuana and these psychiatric disorders where marijuana abuse can lead to your brain establishing neural pathways related to mental illness symptoms earlier in life and continuing to strengthen the signals going along those neural pathways until you experience the negative effects like the ones Wombat is describing, even after cessation of use. The antipsychotic Risperidone has been found to nullify the "high" effect of THC in people prescribed it in large enough doses. If a medication designed to reduce psychotic thought patterns and turn down the severity of their signals travelling around the brain also has that same effect on marijuana, it's likely that they are hiting the same receptors in the brain. Something that needs to be investigated further, as the THC use may be warping the shape of the receptors or modulating how they receive or send signals around the brain in psychiatric patients who use marijuana.

I knew Wombat dealt with some shit but fuck me I didn't think he had moments of Psychosis.....my old man is 50 and he has been going through the same shit when he first tried speed at 19, he's in Alice Springs at the moment at rehab after going psychotic on the gear Been a fan for years and fuck man I've got so much more respect for you after hearing your struggles. Just keep dropping dope tracks brother keep innovating and know that plenty of your fans are going through the same shit and totally empathize!

This convo could help the youth. Weed for sure causes psychosis in some people. If you smoke daily it's a roll of the dice. Try and stop for a week as a challenge and you'll see it's no joke.
