We've had a lot of luck grazing thru new seedings. What wants to be there will show thru. - Peter

I agree! I’ll have to do another video now I found warm season grasses coming through. Big blue and Indian grasses. Have a good day!

When you rent your animals out, do you ever go to the site and check up on them or advise whoever is taking care of them on what to do?
@WholesomeFamilyFarms4 ай бұрын
We have those conversations before they take em. I wouldn’t give my animals to people I don’t trust but at the same time I have confidence in my animals to hold up to a level of mismanagement too. I don’t want to pamper my goats or sheep. I want them to thrive and do it on their own. Low maintenance easy keeping is what I want my livestock to be. Most of the people that use my goats have their own too and every time they bring them back they love our goats.

Nice! would you mind sharing what size electric netting ( double spike/single spike) you are using and if you would recommend?
@WholesomeFamilyFarms4 ай бұрын
We just use single spike 35” net. Works well for us. But if you get big rains then it can come out easily but if you move often you shouldn’t have to worry much.

@@WholesomeFamilyFarms I just purchased one roll of the 164 ft single spike. that is why i ask I could see that single spike being iffy in soft ground but I could always use an obrien post for extra support here and there. Was just curious before I buy several rolls if there was something better.
@WholesomeFamilyFarms4 ай бұрын
@@alanwesterfield4254 double spike definitely would be more sturdy but gets tangled easier with everything too when it’s in a roll. Our wooded ground is soft but I feel like it works fine for us. Move em often then they’ll trust ya and hopefully not test the fence on ya! Good luck!

@@WholesomeFamilyFarms That seems to be the comment complaint about double spike is tangles.... i have only used poly and reels but I need to start thinking about opening some options.... and I hate to say it.... but I prob need some goats.
