Nice catch, need to get out there and get one myself. I'm assuming early am is best for them, but do you think tide matters at all?
@Bsprecksfishing Жыл бұрын
It really depends where.. on this bite earlier is only a little bit better. And tide doesn’t seem to matter much bc I’ve been getting them right after low

@@Bsprecksfishing I’d be fishing the same inlet but by boat, going to try to get out this weekend early or late afternoon Monday. So early am isn’t super key you think?

Caught 5 big ones years ago in Cabo San Lucas in a Panga just off the beach. Took a couple of pounds of fillets to Soloman's Landing and they cooked it several ways. We ate like PIGs. Thanks for showing me they come this far north! I was under the impression they stayed in warmer waters! And the Tequila wasn't bad either! LOL
@Bsprecksfishing Жыл бұрын
Haha!! That sounds awesome! You remember how big they were?
@KP11520 Жыл бұрын
@@Bsprecksfishing Three were easily over 24 inches and 10 to 12 pounds. The two shorter ones were a couple inches shorter and 8 to 10 pounds. Sierra is one of their FAVORITE fish to make ceviche with. And man do they do it right in Cabo. You should try Cabo. Not a Surf casting spot, but one GREAT place to fish from Locals with boats. If you rent a place with a Freezer and bring lots of zip lock baggies and a cooler (Freezer Packs and NOT ice when transporting), you can bring your fish home on the plane! One vacation, we drove to San Jose and fished with a guy on that side of the Baja tip for 4 days out of seven. WE caught a mix every day. No Roosterfish or Wahoo though.
