The song is about medieval times when the church and the high class oppressed the people, so they are singing against that oppression, inviting you to literally "stand up, raise your fist and go to the pagan party to drink at the campfire"

@@darligevennerpodcast also bear in mind that the north of Spain has keltic roots and mythology. I think there was a metal group that used that thematic exclusively. More Spanish groups of metal/rock like Mago de Oz are Tierra Santa, WarCry, Avalanch, Saratoga, Opera Magna, Barón Rojo, Ángeles del Infierno, Marea or Stravaganzza.

Gods I always love seeing people react for the first time to Mago, it is quite literally the music of my childhood (my ma quickly found that folk metal was the only music I would fall asleep to as a baby), some other people have already explained the song meaning, but if you liked it, I would also rec some other songs; La Costa de Silencio - Mago de Oz Which is about taking care of the environment in a sort of revolutionary tone. Hasta que El cuerpo aguante - Mago de Oz This one is about being proud of being a musician despite the stigma of older people about it La Danza del Fuego - Mago de Oz This one is more heartwarming and it’s a lot about not only loving yourself but improving yourself and imparting your wisdom to the next generation La Leyenda del Hada y el Mago - Rata Blanca This one is about a Wizard and a Fairy and their doomed romance, very much a fairytale with a big guitar solo.

You know what band sounds similar to Mago de Oz? Powerwolf with Army of the Night reminds me of it. Compare to the style of "La hija de las estrellas" by Mago de Oz. The singer has changed from that time to now, but he is equally good at singing, only a different voice colour (I personally like the new singer a bit better, but most Mago fans will understandably say that they miss the original singer).

This song is a Must in each festival! A good rock song 'EY' from "Mónica Naranjo & Bumbury". Their voice really complement each other [ 'Bumbury' is famous singer of Rock. His band was "Heroes del silencio" and 'Mónica Naranjo' ... well, don't be tricked, she usually doesn't sing rock, her powerful voice is really versatile and chamaleonic "Europa" or "Doble Corazón" are a good example, but not your stile, i guess ]

Maybe listen to the Carnival or Cadiz? jaja You won't understand but anyway you just have to understand the concept. These are arranged groups that create songs, music and lyrics related to almost everything, especially social protest, sarcasm, funny or even taboo remarks. These groups dress up and they compete for a prize and the lyric contents are very local. Is there something like this in Norway? Or maybe I could recommend some music, like Monica Naranjo and Bunbury's Ey, a pretty recent song, and I loved it on first listen.
