It isn’t supposed to have lyrics, its a marching tune created during Carlos III reign in 1761. The tune was for the grenadier companies for marching, which is why is sometimes called “Marcha Granadera” or Grenadier March. In 1770 it became Spain’s honor march, in which would later be considered the national anthem and changed name to “Marcha Real” or Royal March. You can hear various versions of lyrics from the soldiers. There were many lyrics which were written by many composers. The reason most sing with lalala along the tune is because they probably have marched with that tune only, and thus they remember the tune and not the lyrics. Also, during this time, the Spanish Republic’s anthem was the “Himno de Riego”, or Riego’s Anthem, which was created during the Three Liberal Years (1820-1823), so it was a big deal to sing and “play” Marcha Real since it was a symbol of the kingdom and its people. Marcha Real is still the National Anthem, but still doesn’t have official lyrics.

@@valentinfinozzi9358 This anthem is from 1927 and it's a monarchist anthem, the purpura reference is weird, I think it's actually a reference to the Royal Standard of Spain which was purple at the time or to the pendon of Castilla which has always been purple, but it's no way a reference to the republican tricolour flag, which was never used until 1931 (even during the first republic the flag was the same monarchist flag and never the tricolour). So, it's not a reference to the republican flag, but more likely it's a reference to the monarchy's royal standard.

And when his best friends are shot for "alleged crimes against the country", he begins to realize that what they are doing is not right.Months later, that same year, he died of a heart attack caused by the depression he contracted and his advanced level of age. During a speech, he tried to calm the Francoists and make them believe that we are all Spanish. But he was booed.The movie has points of sadness, pain and laughter throughout the movie.In this scene, Franco tells an officer to change the republican flag for the monarchical flag. And as a sign of patriotism towards the country, they sing the monarchical song.In my opinión,is the best movie about spanish civil war,because It is not on one side or the other, it only shows the atrocities of war.

Esto es lo único decente de la película, y eso que seguramente querían hacer una escena ridícula y les sale algo épico XD. A Franco, durante toda la peli, lo pintan como alguien retrasado. La peli es penosa, no merece ni verla pirata. No es una película que busca la realidad, si no, aún que se indique que el bando contrario (el "republicano"/anarquista/comunista) hacía maldades, lo que se busca es que se crea que era el bando sublevado el malo y Franco era no menos que tonto!!!. Siendo Franco el general más joven de Europa y con el que contaban para ganar la guerra con su intelecto y conocimientos de gran estratega (contradictorio).

No he visto la película, pero si descripciones, muy similares a lo que dices, pero el trasfondo de la película era mostrar a Unamuno como el culto y formado rechazado por los brutos de Millán-Astray. Lo cual es una de los mitos más tontos de la Guerra Civil, aunque muchos lo creen. De todos modos la escena es muy creíble.
