Spanish Quiz: Preterite vs. Imperfect

MISTAKE IN VIDEO:
Hi everyone, for the exclamó answer, it should actually be exclamaron, in the "ellos" form. I must have been thinking people (la gente) when I was typing it, which would be singular. KZbin user Mohammed Nahir was nice enough to point this out. Gracias y #losiento

on number 5 you said the translation was "EVERYBODY exclaimed" but wouldn't it be exclamabos exclamaron instead of exclamo (accent o)..? because its plural.. not singular..?

So I had a question about number 5? I was just wondering if "exclamar" could be imperfect because my Spanish curriculum has a lot of examples with the word "todo" and they're all imperfect and considered habitual or repeated actions in the past. I'm just a little confused haha

If it was like “todos los días “ then sure, but in this sense it’s just saying “everybody” yelled this one time then it’s in the preterite

Shouldn’t it be "todas las personas exclamaron,” en vez de "exclamó?" I hope it’s a tipo because this would shatter a part of my willingness to keep studying Spanish.

Number two, it should be recibía. It was an emotion, ongoing.

Cassie Linkins the feliz was the feeling, that was ongoing with estar. But the recibir was not an ongoing activity. Just a one time thing.
