The objective of classical equitation is to study the way the horse naturally moves and to cultivate the highest levels of haute école elegance the horse is capable of through systematic training. The Ballet of the White Stallions - Lipizzaner
The performances of the famous snowy white Lipizzaner stallions, the so called Hofburg Horses and their riders in the baroque Winter Riding School in the Vienna Hofburg Palace, built by Josef Emanuel Fischer von Erlach in the years 1729 to 1735 are some of the most moving and beautiful impressions for horse lovers and bear living testimony to European culture.
During these performances the visitor witnesses the spectacular perfection of the “High School of Classical Horsemanship” with the Pas de Deux, Work in Hand and on the Long Rein and the School Quadrille which is shown with eight stallions. The Levade, Courbette and Capriole are the highlights of the “Schools above the Ground”.
Spanish Riding School History
The Spanish Riding School, a significant part of Austria’s cultural heritage, is not only the oldest riding academy in the world, it is also the only one where the High School of Classical Horsemanship has been cherished and maintained for over 430 years.
The School takes the “Spanish” part of its name from the horses which originated from the Iberian Peninsula during the 16th century and which were considered especially noble, spirited and willing and suited for the art of classical horsemanship. Today’s Lipizzaner stallions are the descendants of this proud Spanish breed, a cross between Spanish, Arabian and Berber horses, and they delight horse lovers from all over the world with their performances.
At the beginning of 2001 the Spanish Riding School in Vienna and the Federal Stud Piber in Styria were separated from the federal administration and made legally independent whereby the establishment is still wholly owned by the Austrian Federation. The two entities were merged into one legal company and a special Spanish Riding School Act charged the establishment with fulfilling certain duties for the public benefit. These include above all the continuation of the traditional breeding of Lipizzaners, the rearing and provision of prime stallions for the Spanish Riding School and the pursuance and preservation of the High School of Classical Horsemanship.

Karta za ovu predivnu predstavu kosta €175 za jednu osobu ali je zadovoljstvo veliko, pravo uzivanje. Jedina ovakva skola u svetu, stara 430 godina.

I've only ridden horses a few times, but I can make a horse jump like that--I just can't get him to stop. Hitting the ground (me, not the horse) is a specialty of mine.

Imala sam prilike, davne, davne '79. da gledam u Španiji, Barceloni, ples, samo 2 konja. Predivno je bilo. Predivni su i ovi. Nego otkud to sada u LON, a korona, zabrane okupljanja...😷 Ništa?! 😄

Pravo je uzivanje gledati ovo savrsenstvo i odnos coveka i konja. ♥️♥️🐴 Sto se tice madki, kako gde, prica se svasta mada je trenutno u UK kao dobro ali prete nam od septembra i za jesen 🤬

@@luna_london I nama pretili za jesen, a sad po ovolikim vrućinama ima sve veći broj obolelih, tvrde... Tj. u vreme glasanja se br drastično smanjio 😂(?!), ali odmah po završetku glasanja naglo raste iz dana u dan 🤔 Tako da od Sept., koji su najavljivali za poč. novog talasa izgleda neće biti. Ili je ovo uvertira za one najstrože mere zabrane kretanja, bez gsp prevoza, opet. Bog bi ga znao!
