I am63 and have played guitar since I was 6years old,, unfortunately where I was raised the music I was exposed to was old beer drinking country on one side of the family, then the other part of my family were rock rollers as were all of my friends who also played,, what I am trying to say is during those years I always had a fascination for flamenco guitar and the culture that is associated with it, so beautiful and alive very festive and relaxing at the same time.. Now for the past 3 years classical flamenco is pretty much all I will play,, out of all of my guitars my classical guitar is the first thing I pick up to play,, I am learning but I regret that as a child I wasn't exposed to this music and could have had teachers that taught classical Spanish music.., these are the very best guitarist I have ever heard..

Hi.😊😊 I have never met you, we will probably never meet. But you've found my comment, among all these thousands. If you are seeing this comment then take this as your sign that things will get better, that things will be alright, that you can get through this. Whatever troubles bring you here, or if you're simply here for the sake of relaxing, remember that you are important, you are valid, and that you have a right to be here. You are braver and stronger than you think. You're still here, trying to make things better and to live a better life. So whatever is keeping you up at night, it is not stronger than you. You can get through this. I don't know you, you can dismiss this as the meaningless words of a stranger, or you can believe me. Whatever you chose, I believe in you!

That's great, but just so you know, Flamenco is Spanish, as in from Spain hahah. It's usually considered to be from Andalusia, a region in Spain that was occupied by Arabic forces for a long time, which is why the singing sounds like that so much. You should check out the dancing involved! It's very energetic, it involves tapping and they often use castanets to complement the rhythm. Also, this video is not typical flamenco, at least in the beginning, it sounds like a jazz mix more than anything hahah.

I didn't know that flamenco can be played on the banjo. Of course, the guitar (which we normally and erroneously think of as a Spanish instrument--it's an Italian instrument intended for amateurs) is also suitable. But understand that the Spanish also love the cello which in the 18th century was considered the manliest of instruments (don't ask why__UNLESS YOU MUST).
