duo lingo is good but you need to read to see how the language works in context. you also have to repeat a lot and learn words outside of it. listen and repeat, read out loud, get a lot of example sentences, see a lot of sentences in context. I can understand the idea but since I have not read enough (since I'm not advanced enough) I can't speak the idea correctly

¡Hola a todos (as)! Soy mexicano y les puedo decir que este audiolibro definitivamente no es para principiantes, quizá es para un nivel intermedio alto, pues ya usan un vocabulario extenso y complejo. Así que no se estresen ni se preocupen porque no entienden nada, poco a poco aprenderán. ¡Ánimo y mucho éxito! Actualmente yo estoy aprendiendo inglés y francés, y cuando escucho y leo audiolibros en francés tampoco entiendo nada, así que supongo que es igual.

I am a Spanish teacher and read the comments with interest. I agree the pace is too fast. I agree it needs a list of vocabulary and I agree this is an intermediate low level. That said, for all who are learning Spanish, start with easy "cuentos" on video (visuals help a lot). As you assimilate more vocabulary, try some short reading comprehension exercises for beginners (many available online), then try this again. I believe this is, as some noticed, for intermediate low level. Buena suerte!

I only picked out a few words I have learned, but it doesn't matter. Think about babies and children and how they learn the language. They listen and watch, and, over time, they repeat words in context. Over time they speak short sentences. I am, impressed with this. A straightforward straight video. I l slowed down the video to .75 of normal speed for my brain to process the words.
@michellethelander17355 жыл бұрын
Good concept. I do wish I could hear a Spanish story spoken as slowly as English is spoken though, and then gradually increase the speed as another story is told. I catch a few words but then get lost and then catch a few more. Spanish is beautifully spoken but so fast for a beginner.

Don't stop Btw learn grammars instead of apps in case you are using them to learn cause in apps like duelingo etc they teach you words, phrases but not the main grammar so it won't be very useful

The translation method is the reason Americans do not speak Spanish. I love the story. It was very creative.
