Yes, comprehension precedes production - it's the natural order of language learning! It's important to get lots of exposure to comprehensible language, which is exactly what you are doing. If you understand most of the video, you are well on your way. 😊

It would be very helpful if you would include the written conversation in Spanish as you did in the earlier vídeos. I am a very beginner and there are words I don't understand. If I could see a transcript of Dialog would be most helpful so that I don't miss a single meaning. The quality of actors and video is excellent! thank you
@SpanishPlayground

There are Spanish subtitles on all our videos. Click on cc to activate them and then click on settings (the gear icon at the bottom right) and choose the language. You can also open a transcript if that would be helpful. To open the transcript, go to the row below the title and click on the three horizontal dots ... (next to "save", at the far right). There is an option there to open the transcript and it opens on the upper right sidebar. Let us know if you any questions!

Gracias por su nuevo video. Es cierto que siempre se usa el presente cuando se cuenta una cuento?
@SpanishPlayground
@SpanishPlayground 3 жыл бұрын

I got a doubt, in imperative sentence if we say "take it"....in Spanish"tómalo"....but sometimes "tómelo" Is used. "Learn to speak Spanish" "Aprende a hablar español" or "aprenda a hablar español" I'm really confused😕😟 ......espero que vayan a replicar.
@SpanishPlayground
@SpanishPlayground 3 жыл бұрын
That's a great question. In Spanish you can address people as tú (informal to use with friends, with people younger than you are, etc.) or usted (formal, to use with people you don't know). The two forms of address have different imperatives. For the informal, if you address someone as tú, you form the command using the 3rd person singular of the present tense: Tómalo, Aprende a hablar español. We made a video about those forms and you can see it here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pWiom4Brm7R_hJo For the formal, talking to someone you address as usted, you use the 3rd person singular of the present subjunctive: Tómelo, Aprenda a hablar español. Hope that helps!

@@SpanishPlayground thnx a lot😍✅ But I have another one.,...... Sometimes, it's said that ponga esto sobre la mesa..,...and sometimes....Pon esto sobre la mesa How is it?😕 And could it be with all the verbs like haz as haga?
@SpanishPlayground
@SpanishPlayground 3 жыл бұрын
Yes, it's exactly the same situation. Ponga is the formal usted command (the present subjunctive). Pon is the affirmative informal tú command. There are a set of verbs that have irregular informal affirmative commands: poner - pon, hacer - haz, salir - sal, decir - di, tener - ten, ser - sé, venir - ven, ir - ve. Hope that helps!
