The Spaniards wanted the gold and forced there culture on the Philippines, The name of the country before the Spaniards came along and conquered the country was ‘The Kingdom of Maharlika. Means “The Land of Creation”. And fun fact, when the Spaniards first tried conquering the country they were defeated by hand and hand and sword combat. Even with their metal shields, while the natives was mostly naked. So the Spaniards came back shortly with guns and armors. Because they couldn’t fight and conquer the natives without there guns. They felt inferior. But that’s not in your history books.

Some got married to Filipinas and when the Spanish-American war came to an end, some of my great grandfather's relatives opted to stay in the Philippines, and some went back to Spain.

I was fortunate to have visited Spain from Germany sometime ago. I was in Germany for work and on one of my vacations in Europe, I decided to try Spain for the famous beaches. The sights are amazing, on my way to Costa Del Sol and my destination, Costa Brava. I rented a villa on top of the hill near the beach (so much cheaper than staying in a hotel). I would say that it was one of my best vacation ever. The people were nice, food excellent (the paella was terrific) found the local market and the seafood provided excellent choices at affordable prices. You will find similar things in the Philippines, I was born in Manila but have not travelled much there as I was a full time student at the time. If you go there you will find it that most will go out of their way to help you, the hospitality is amazing, see it for your self and make sure you document the visit in your vlog.

Hi Beautiful. Those places are real/authentic. My family have been to at least 60% of them and i’m already 52yrs young. One month is certainly not enough! That’s why lots of foreign vloggers have moved here. They are The Juicy Vlog from UK who quit their jobs then moved here last year ), Finn Snow (from Iceland who’s still making revisions to his Top10 places to visit here every year as he keeps on discovering more places better than his previous Top10 places), the Making it Happen vlog (Austrians, Mike & Nelly who lived in Miami but like The Juicy vlog decided to stay here & still are vlogging until now) & Becoming Filipino (Kyle Jennerman, a Canadian who have been to 30countries but decided to make Philippines his home). There are plenty more who have moved here. There are those who just visit often like the British couple - Dabble & Travel, Happy Reactions/Happiness crossing vlog (German/Spanish?/Brazilian couple that got addicted to everything about the Philippines. Until now they are still vlogging about d country even if they are now in Europe. You can check out their experiences so you can relate better & can plan ahead. Bring your bf/love ones as it’s better if you can experience it with them making the journey sweeter & more enjoyable. Just be wary tho’ coz you’ll surely be addicted & might not go back to your country. LOL. BTW, Morissette is from Cebu City, the Queen of the South & number 1 Tourist destination of the country. It has lots of beaches, falls, & whatnot. Good Luck!!!

Your video is almost 2 years old and Im happy that you appreciate Philippines. The best time for you to go here in the Philippines between October to April due to weather reasons, and about the food? Better try our Tinola to complete your Philippine experience. Speaking of Tinola. Spanish here during 19th century love this food and its even found in Jose Rizal novel. Last reminder: If ever you're in the Philippines, avoid riding taxi from the airport because they are overpricing scumbags, much better if you have contact here that someone you know personally so things will go well. Anyway I will look forward to your visit here.
