In Spanish, there are two ways to say "you" in singular form: "tú" and "usted".
"Tú" is informal and is used with friends, relatives, and people younger than you.
"Usted", on the other hand, is formal and is used to show respect towards someone who is older, in a position of authority, or someone you do not know well.
The verb conjugation also changes depending on if you use "tú" or "usted".
