I've been enjoying Baba's clips for some time and I want to share my observations on what i call the "Indian style" of massage. It seems that it's emphasis is more on being invigorating or energizing, as opposed to being strictly for relaxation. Notice how Baba asks Laurie to rub her hands together "quick..quick". I think that relaxation is a by-product of this style. YMMV.

I agree. Baba is an expert barber in India who gives out haircuts, shaves, massages together for less than a US $ or a British £. First, the massage is a major part in Indian and other cultures. Second, it doesn't matter what techniques he uses, as long as it feels good, which it presumably does, so why not get one. And thirdly, these massages show compassion towards the customer, not just to bring them back, but to be friendly.

kacaku Actually this kind of massage is extremely common in india. While most other barbers won't do the 'energy' that baba does, the vigorous massage is practiced quite a lot. You would find many barbers just as good as Baba, just perhaps not as energetic and animated.
