This week we talk about how tariffs affect Spark. I answer more questions on the Brute. I talk about a new product that we added to the website. Lastly, I go over new consultation appointments you can set up.

I would think a kick ass haircut like that would boost your immune system. 😎

Thanks for the frank discussion of the immediate and longer term economics of tariffs. I believe the reality is slowly setting in regardless of the political smoke. The trip to visit you last spring was well worth it. From my perspective it was an honor to be able to visit your shop and meet your team. I hope to visit again in a few months. Get some rest.

❤ thanks Clyde, we’ve got some of your prints framed! Ps, when I was in high school I was really into Lino cuts and made tons of them. Btw, powerful lithium and I are in the homestretch on something fun for you. I wanted to wait till January to work on your project because it’s the slowest month. Very excited to see this come together.

@ And now my sleep is done while I dream of the Javelin’s Sugarplum Elves at work. I have an idea about being there and taking part in the build as an instructional piece on how a novice can build a Javelin with a kit, however modified it is when you’re done. I was inspired by your thinking about a How To video.

California, even Southern California is massive. Los Angeles to San Diego is a good 2 to 3 hour drive. For preparation’s sake. Are you willing to tell us the name of the shop? Or at least the city it will be In?

In the future, do you think you guys can put a speaker on the javelin?

Very excited for extended battery and trailer!

A super high powered Javelin…sounds like a cool project. I also appreciate how in touch Spark is with its community. There is a bigger seller/manufacturer within driving distance that I will no longer buy from because their customer service has been terrible. Good customer service matters.

With The Brute kick stand. A good pair of motorcycle boots make all the difference. They have hardened soles and toes. I got a pair from Ride Iron and they work great!

I appreciate the details. The only data point that didn’t match my experience is the battery capacity. The Bandit has not been 48v for a long time. My Bandit is 52v/45ah = 2,340 watt hours. My Brute is 72v/30ah = 2160 watt hours, so it has less watt hours than my Bandit. I understand the 72v will be more efficient, but the Brute is also heavier. It’s good to hear that an additional battery may become available for the Brute that doesn’t sacrifice the rear rack utility. I would love 72v/40ah (2,880wh) or more on the Brute. 👍🏼

72v is barely more efficient and only in certain situations like throttling up a hill under power.

You need a 96v brute 😅

I care more about functionality, easy maintenance, reliability, quality, and the ability to customize! You already have that.

Maybe change shape of the main battery case on brute to occupy more empty frame space and fit more cells and capacity.

Will these extra batteries have the Ability to be taken off at will, and will they have any type of security lock or devices to Ensure somebody doesn't take off with the extended battery??? And most important when is the Estimated time of release to be able to purcase said batteries???

If you are braking with motor by regen does it not also add a current ingress so the driver circuit has more wear ? Did you ever measure the current what was it from the motor at braking? Thanks

CN see that in fardriver app

Awesome… I don’t care about fancy. Just reliable, customer serviceable, backwards compatible and non proprietary parts. 😀

If I order a bike and want some extras such as a basket, will you guys install them on the bike before it gets shipped?
@SparkCycleworks8 күн бұрын
Yes absolutely, nearly every bike we build for customers have some sort of custom request. Shoot us an email and we’ll be happy to work you

That’s really unfortunate. I can guarantee you’ll never have a Canadian own one of your bikes now !!! I worked all summer to try and get one of your bikes over here. Shame!!!I will order everything from china now !!!

I’m not giving up hope. I currently have an agent working on importing to Canada. It’s been a nightmare, but I’m trying to stay hopeful. We currently have a shop that sells bikes in Detroit. We may have a way to use that to our advantage

So tax on businesses will go down loans will be cheaper your tax burden lower our income tax will be subsidized regardless of who pays the tariff. American made goods get the break do you realize how many warehouses and commercial buildings are empty and how enticed a company will be to manufacture here? This is where we should be at as evidenced by your emphasis on making your product here. It takes time but government should be focused on long game not the short term and that is tariffs-it is what other countries are doing (as well as nationalizing businesses and subsidizing businesses. Just to be over seas in China you can’t own the businesses they own a large percentage (which means red army monies). Just some amateur belief and hope. Cool aid or not it is reasonable but will it become reality?
