and when the game couldn't get any better Lake fepard drops an entire games worth of level in a entirely free DLC update this man is insane, though I will say it's a bit shocking he did this cause now it basically gives almost 0 reason to play Spark 2 now that its basically entirely in Spark 3

Speaking of which, what exactly is the story behind this dlc? If any at all, why are we running through the levels from spark 2? Is it just spark running through more parts of the simulation because he has nothing better to do while he waits for spark 4 to come out? It would make sense for the levels from spark 2 (and by proxy the levels from spark 1) to exist within clarity’s simulation, as it’s a near perfect recreation of spark’s world, (except for a few places as it’s pretty safe to assume the bottom of utopia shelter doesn’t normally glitch out and send you to NieR:automata every couple minutes), so I guess it really is spark just doing sweet f*ck-all while he waits for fark to do something in the real world.

It’s a bit of a double edged sword. It has basically no dead zone, meaning you have to hold the joystick *perfectly* up if you don’t want Spark to turn. While this feels great at having smooth control at high speeds, it also makes parts where you want to go perfectly straight a nightmare - hence why at, for instance, 40:18 I didn’t bother touching the joystick at the dash pad. It’s interesting but takes a LOT of getting used to.

Even if I wanted new combat/raid levels (and a new Jester power) I still appreciate the fact that Lake put all of the Spark 2 levels into the 3rd, and even for free.

Probably never for Spark 1, Spark 2 got an Xbox port, and I believe Lake is working on console ports for 3
