This is like a for real media company that here specializes in translating foreign made documentaries to an English speaking audience. Its not an independent content creator like History Brothers, Practical Engineering, Isaac Arthur or many of the people on Nebula. Its almost like you tipped McDonalds, but not even the guy working the line but rather the franchisee or even the corporation itself.

Great new video!!!! I love to fall asleep to space documentaries.... I've been thru so many I have been getting bored with them. The videos become very repetitive. Not this video, it's very interesting and informative. A big plus is the soft background music. This really helps you to knock out. Lastly it plays to almost 4hrs!!!! Great work, keep it up, you've got a new sub!!!

6:00 Did u say Andromeda was 220,000 light years away 🤔 I could've sworn that number was supposed to be in the millions....
@ThatWinterRiderАй бұрын
I do believe you are right... Andromeda is probably closer to 200,000 light years in diameter. But yeah, its millions of LY's away. Not sure where they went wrong there.

It is 2,000,000 light years away
@lalowong5779Ай бұрын
Maybe it just got closer to earth
@hcic9860Ай бұрын
@lalowong5779 Nah, because that would mean that Andromeda and the Milky Way, would begin to merge within the next million yrs or so. And that's not possible because they aren't supposed to merge for another 4.5 billion yrs. It's far more likely that this was an overlooked mistake by the video creator
@tesos2866Ай бұрын

You’re producing some amazing work!
@christianhoffman7407Ай бұрын
They are *showing* amazing work, they don't produce these. Imagine a company in say France that took shows from our Science Network, History Channel or Discovery, paid a license to show them, then translated them for a French speaking audience and put them on a monetized KZbin channel. That is what they are doing here but with documentaries made by other people mainly in Europe. Nothing wrong with that, many of these are both informative and entertaining. However these guys, Spark, are not artists/content producers, it is a media company, a middle man, a business. They are closer to retailers than film makers.

It's a straightforward and simple question so I say no there is no life until we find some because like you said not even a flashlight or nothing as much as I like for there to be out there you think that would be easy to see there could be life out there who said that it's not no more advanced than we are but that would mean that they would be just as curious as we are and they would be sending radio signals off through space too but that even hasn't happened yet so the answer is no until we find some

The “future” I was promised growing up during the 60s has turned into shit. It’s the year 2024, and people think the earth is flat, people are naming their kids “Seth” and “Josh”, country music and cowboy culture has failed to future out, no planets within billions of light years of us have life, etc etc
@Nunya_BidnazАй бұрын
I can follow most of your argument. Especially the sentiment of being "promised" a very sci-fi future with all sorts of incredible technology.. and here we are in 2024 and we haven't even sent a manned mission back to the moon.. However, what does naming your kids seth and Josh mean? Lol I guess maybe I'm naive, I was born in 1992, but I've never met a Seth in my life personally. But I know several Josh's.. and Joshua is a biblical name so it's not new by any means? Lol so I don't follow that part. And lastly, we do have incredible technology.. neuralink comes to mind as one of the most well known.. I mean the mars rover I believe perseverance had a device that could literally take a photo of a small piece of landscape, and then it can tell you what the elemental make up of the slice of ground is made up. That's pretty incredible. And it does it with light as I understand it. There are so many cool things going on that we don't even hear about much as well. Personal drones that we could each fly around in or on. So many cool things that the military buys up and classifies as well. Who knows, we might be alot closer to a huge breakthrough in propulsion, and therefore practical space travel than we even know.
@Nunya_BidnazАй бұрын
Also, I think NASA is building a nuclear rocket engine.. which seems like it may have potential to be a pretty big jump in capabilities compared to conventional chemical rockets. Only time will tell.

It sometimes upsets me that Albert Einstein, with all his contributions to humankind, didn't live long enough to see the first moon landing. If my math is correct, he would have had to live until he was 90 years-old. But for someone who was born in 1879 the chances would have had to be astronomical (sorry) for him to last that long. Shoot, he only lived long enough to see an atomic bomb explode over one of his fellow earthlings' cities after it was tested for a few years over some uninhabited Pacific islands. But he never even made it to see the first satellite launched into low Earth odbit. So, IMHO, his death a In 1955 when he was "only" 79 seems unfair. Selfishly, I hope to live long enough to see if the moons of Jupiter or Saturn harbor microscopic life. Or maybe a human landing on Mars, or a base on our Moon. Or even a return signal from a "nearby" exoplanet!
