I made the flat spiral bracelet with 8mm antique copper metal beads with textural pattern on surface, bronze seed beads, blue opal fire polish 4mm, oxblood drops, and it looks very different I like it. Great video, so much fun.

Hi Stephanie, thanks for this great tutorial. I love the lacy look of the 15/0s on the edge of the bracelet. In the final round, I'm thinking I may try 3 beads to make picots down the edge, or even alternate 2 - 3 - 2 - 3 for even more interest. See, you're sparking my imagination!

Is there anything you could show us to use up a bunch of 11/0 seed beads? I have a ton of blues and greens my dad gifted me his *bead box several years ago when his eyes got too bad to see the tiny beads and last year in September I quit smoking and really took up beading again and thought I knew what I was doing until I realized I needed to start all over from the very beginning... Boy oh boy I had no idea what I was getting myself into haha I LOVE IT but probably spend about as much money on beading supplies as I did for cigarettes LOL! Well at least this is way healthier ;) My hubby kids and family are so proud because I've been a smoker since I was about 12 or 13 I just turned 33 when I quit... Sorry I'm babbling now haha. Anyways the beads I have are at least twenty years old and most do not have anything but price stickers on them lol they're all in clear plastic tubes.. Do you have any (easy enough for beginners to do) ideas? Thank you again...can't really thank you enough. 😍💐💝🍃😊

2 questions: Why is it called a tennis bracelet? would you not show us your work space in its messy state? Then you can show the before and after pics, but I'd prefer to see the messy one!!!! Love your work.
@BronzeponyBeadedJewelry
@BronzeponyBeadedJewelry 8 жыл бұрын
+Anne McGinn Hi Anne! This bracelet is sort of a bead version of the Tennis Bracelet made so popular by tennis great Chris Everet! During a tennis match her bracelet of a line of diamonds broke and she asked to stop the match so she could find the diamonds! They are also called inline bracelets. My work space is my desk with a beading pad on it like the picture on Facebook. Beads are in boxes so there is nothing much to show :) But when I reorganize to a space just for beading I will put up pictures of the process!

Stephanie, love all your videos and tried to make most ,but I have trouble with thread.Ut seems that all my bracelets containing crystals end up braking.I use fireline and wildfire and the results are the same.With fireline they brake faster unfortunately.What am I doing wrong?
@BronzeponyBeadedJewelry
@BronzeponyBeadedJewelry 7 жыл бұрын
+Anneliz Dinica Thank you 😃🌻 Crystals are notorious for breaking thread. However, you can minimize the problem by using Swarovski or Preciosa crystals. If you are using these brands and still having problems try the Czech bicones and firepolished beads as they are less likely to cut the thread. You could ease up on your tension if you normally are a tight beader. Also, you can wax your thread with bees wax or a synthetic product to coat the thread so it doesn't scrape against the crystals edges. Let me know if any of this helps!

Hi I was wondering . Do you have a secret way of keeping your thread so tight? My tension is so terrible. I need help 😂 Carmella
@BronzeponyBeadedJewelry
@BronzeponyBeadedJewelry 7 жыл бұрын
Tension is a tough one Carmella so you are not alone! A couple of hints - Make sure you are matching up your needle and thread to the beads you are using. Larger beads - thicker thread and larger needle. Small beads like 15/0's use a smaller needle like a size 12 and a thinner thread. Not written in stone but a general idea. Also, if you are a beginner, use the shortest amount of thread to practice with so you can control the tension easier. Long thread can cause loose tension and knotting and makes controlling the thread difficult. As you progress you can use longer lengths of thread. Start with easier projects such as this one and practice, practice, practice! Tension comes as your skill level improves. Join me on my Facebook page as there are the best and brightest beaders there eager to help and share their experiences. Hope this helps!!!
